What I want to know is if this is just for DF groups or applies to pre-made groups? I have a few people in my FC who are just hitting 50 on their first class and I want to take them through their relic quests without waiting for them to get higher level gear. I don't want to make them replace their level 38 jewelery or farm end game dungeons first. If I'm in a FC run I should be able to run this content with whomever I want.

Go all AF or Militia set, and some craftable ilvl 45 accessories. They don't even have to farm any end-game dungeons. And the thing is, why would they just stick to ilvl 38 accessories? If they're having trouble obtaining gils then craft them some or buy them. They accesories are super cheap. However, if you want to carry those new 50s, then thats your choice. It really doesn't make sense to me why go through all the trouble to get to level 50 and stick to ilvl 38 accessories. Either they're just paranoid about spending gils, or not giving a thought how to contribute to the FC by getting carried. BUT, if thats how your FC is run by, then please do so. Just an opinion.

It might stop you from using the duty finder to start the dungeon. However, you should still be able to run to the dungeon's entrance and enter that way.

Running to the entrance still makes you queue via Duty Finder.

However, forming a premade group already ignores the requirements set by Duty Finder, so I bet it'll ignore ilvl requirements, too.

My FC has both casual and hardcore players. I don't find those running low level dungeons to socialize, promote activity and help players level to not be contributing, so I'd like to return the favor and help them get their relic in whatever gear they choose to wear.

Just get their total iLvl on par and it should be fine.
