Either this is a bug or is working as intended, but only offensive actions seem to get credit in FATEs.

If you heal, support or raise other people participating in the event you are actually hurting your rewards in a FATE because all that time saving others means you are less likely to do enough damage or to deliver enough items to receive Gold.

This was very noticeable leveling as a WHM because our dmg output is pretty meh to begin with, so either you focused on nuking and gathering items or you were very likely to end up with Silver or less, even if people were dying around you and proper support would've saved them.

As an ARC this is less of an issue, but can still hit you. Even if you are present for the entire duration of the event.

Or is it just me? Is this working as intended?


PS > Leveling GLA I've also noticed dmg (and not actually tanking) is what gives me credit in FATEs. So there's little reason to sacrifice damage output by tanking when you can just do as much dmg as possible and move on if another FATE pops on your map. Let the DDs tank it instead, and since healers are less likely to heal or Raise them, well, tough luck.
