Heck, I would be happy if SE just copy/pasted a lot of NPCs that just walked around for the sake of it, but I know they can make something better. Ul'Dah should feel like Rabanastre from FFXII (in terms of population), so if SE could do it on FFXII they can repeat the same formula. There are a lot of NPCs in Rabanastre that don't even have any dialogue, but even so they add to the sense of immersion and give life to the city.

Oh well, even with that complaint, I'm still having fun with the game. And I need something non-productive to do in Summer so yeah
One thing I mentioned in my thread here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ged-characters I talked about players getting to play as teens or old people (like an old master of an art). Anything else and including these should be NPCs because if we're defending a city, a way of life and the defenseless, then it'd be a good idea to be able to see them. You don't see kids and their families in the game, you don't see old people or retired soldiers, etc.

The point is, we are the populace of the game. But since the game isn't that busy at the moment, it seems empty in terms of population. However, what is missing are those types of characters mentioned above: general citizens.
