    Regarding Tracking Progression in 2.1

    The normal way to track server firsts and what not will be thrown for a bit of a loop with 2.1's content. Usually it's pretty straight forward. We essentially just create a list of who killed the bosses and in what order. However, 2.1 we need to come to some kind of agreement with how we track Crystal Tower progression.

    As I'm sure most of you know, we won't be able to queue as a 24man for Crystal Tower. The largest size we will be able to queue with is 8. There is some speculation that if all three groups queue at the same time they may be able to get into the same Crystal Tower instance, although that sounds like it will be a pain to do consistently.

    So that leaves us with the question, how will we track Crystal Tower progression?


    In my opinion it does not make any sense for FCs that queue as an 8man to be able to say that their FC has cleared CT. If we are to track CT progression at all, it should only be if all 24 people are in the FC. However, you'd really have to cheese the queue system and probably get lucky to get all three groups in the same instance in the first place. Because of this, I honestly don't think we should track CT progression at all. Extreme mode primals should be tracked normally.

    I think CT doesn't need to be tracked, it's just a fun dungeon where people queue up randomly with others. Too much RNG. I treat it as a regular dungeon.

    Well see how square makes CT, but for right now I wouldnt be worried about tracking CT. Hopefully well see some more progression than every other patch. Killing twin for another 2-3 months is getting to me

    No one will care about CT progression as it will be tied to the 16 other randoms in the group and will likely be too easy.

    Extreme primals and ultima hard are the only progression worth caring about.

    Playing from 1.0, extreme ifrit I would still say was the hardest fight, a massive step up from ifrit hard and it took a long time to beat but that could be more because if animation lock and lag, darnus hard was alot easier than ifrit Ex IMO.
