Lots of good ideas in here, few not so good but I agree with most of the ideas here.
My one addition would be for a MMO standard style Auction house. The one in XI was ok Id gladly take that(Tho to do this you would also need a mail system). Now dont take the market wards and retainers away. In any MMO there is always a street or area where a flee market of people setup a bazaar and sell what they could not put on the AH. Keeping the market ward would save people from having to leave their accounts logged in and PC's on for god knows how long. This would save some bandwidth also.
I want a beast mode that we can activate at any given time just so we can look cool for a while. HERP DERP DERP.
Stick it in my Balmung.
..and once again you decide to skim through my post and repeat the same thing. OK forget what I said please, FFXIV's maps and map progression is perfect....you hear this SE?? don't change anything please!!!
Actually, I didn't skim your post, it was read in full. You said you follow everyone else and do what everyone else does because the game doesn't force you to do anything else. I'm just not sure what else you expect the game to do. You're offered multiple zones where you can level. You're limited as to the amount of leves you can do at a each location. Do you really want more restrictions in place? Would you prefer a game with more linear progression? I don't remember that being too popular in FFXIII.
This is always going to be a problem, its not only maps you see it with either, for example, you see it with equipment too. Everyone wants to have the best equipment available to their class, so everyone wears the same equipment. Then everyone complains that there's no variation and everyone looks the same but these same people will still go out to find the same equipment that everyone else wears because its what everyone else wears.
How are you finding your parties in FFXIV? I see very few in the search, linkshell parties seem to be more popular. Try suggesting to the party that you go somewhere else for a change, I'm sure your not the only one sick of being in the same zone doing the same leves all the time. Maybe you don't get quite as much SP as if you stay at the same usual leves but what would you rather do? Have more SP repeating the same thing over and over again or less SP but have the diversity of experiencing different locations and different leves?
My argument was that FFXIV doesn't progress you through different zones. I've said this a hundred times now and you still argue that its my fault...no its not, the game doesn't progress you through different zones. Its progression sucks. Its "different zones" are just different areas within a region, its horrible and its horrible and this isn't going to change no matter what any more.Actually, I didn't skim your post, it was read in full. If you stick solely to leves, yes. You can stay in one area if you choose to. Even then, areas such as Nanawa Mines, Cassiopia Hollow and Muy-Tuy Cellars have a different look to them from the landscape above ground. My argument was that FFXIV doesn't progress you through different zones. Story missions take to to different zones.
Quests take you to different zones.
Grind parties can take you to different zones.
NM hunts take you to different zones.
You said on the first page of this thread that your one wish would be to remove guildleves but if you're never being made to progress through different zones, it looks like they're all you're doing.
Uhhh all the game gives me is leves. Why are fanboys running amok lately? all this game has is leves. Sorry but you annoyed me now I'm done talking about this but thanks for your time.If you stick solely to leves, yes. You can stay in one area if you choose to. My one wish is for them to go back in time and delay the game by a year.
I rip the axe from the head Covered in blood and brains Leave the body lying dead Ready to strike again
My sword cuts through clothes and skin Like a hot knife cuts through snow I smile as the bastard screams When I twist my sword
Sword in my hand Axe on my side Valhalla awaits me Soon I will die Bear skin on my back Wolf jaw on my head Valhalla awaits me When I'm dead
Viking Job Please!
I don't know man, I actually "Like!'d" your post because I well... Like it, but think about it, if that were the case, the new team probably would've never made it here and... I just don't know about that...
