Any time I try to join, i.e. move into the area of, do battle with the boss, etc., the Fate Lightning Strikes - On Wings of Chaos, the client visually lags- No rendering of characters I hadn't already seen outside of the Fate area and no model movement otherwise- then kicks me out of the game. The first time I tried the Fate, I was able to see the boss, Aspect of Chaos rendered and was able to select and fight the model until about a quarter of the way through his health. Upon ANY subsequent attempts at this Fate, my game freezes and crashes, kicking me out of client with the following error message:

"An unexpected error has occurred. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.(2)(17)"

I am extremely dissapointed and frustrated, as the end of the Lightning Strikes event ends tomorrow and am unable to complete the last chapter in the quest line.
