    Mining, MND and Fatigue

How does MND or INT/PIE effect DoL? Put simply it increases your yield and the maximum amount of items you can get from a single strike.

I did all of this logging between r42-45 gathering until the first fatigue damage with no abilities that increased yield/quantity. Time between sessions was over 24 hours with 7 at base stats and 7 with capped MND. Average time to hit the first fatigue damage was less than an hour usually. All mining was done at Iron Lake.
    • Several items are restricted to 1 regardless of rank/mental stat.
    • Rank has a far more powerful effect than stats.
    • Current fatigue limit for damages does not start at 150.
    • It's not possible to fatigue damage Leve nodes after you hit the limit.

Rather than clogging this up with everything I'll post the compiled results with a link to download everything else. Only items that you can obtain more than 1 at a time is listed.

Oy I hope you rotated your abilities as you levellled from 42-45, because rank kindof dominates everything. It'd be a shame if you started your base stat study at 42 then ended with your boosted stat study at 45. If that was the case, then the dLVL could have made the entire difference.

That being said, you do have very nice HQ proportions, better than expected proportions of +2 and 3.

Edit: crap I read that wrong. You got as many 3 ore strikes as you did 1 ore strikes with boosted stats, not +3s. I see, that's more expected.

Very interesting results (especially about when fatigue started, prior to 150 strikes).

The first thing that jumped out at me was the complete lack of x3 Iron Ore with the low stats. Iron ore is, I believe, the highest rank item that you listed (since all the others are capped at x1). That leads me to suspect that there was some threshold that you hadn't met (with lowered MND) in order to even have any chance of getting x3 Iron ore. The other items are lower rank, so seems pretty clear that is based both on rank as well as stats.

The second was that with higher stats, nearly all of the x1/x2/x3 proportions were very near equal. I haven't done an analysis, but I'd hazard that the differences are statistically insignificant (that is, you couldn't disprove that the chance of each was NOT equal). That seems to lead to the conclusion that boosting up MND leads to a state where all three are equal, so you get on average each 2 (for these mining items, anyhow). Your 1.94 average per strike points that way.

The last thing is that it means that MND isn't terribly useful, at least at the present time. All of the "valuable" items are locked at 1 per strike. In the same way the King's Yield is a rather useless ability for most miners, seems that MND isn't very useful currently either ~_~.

Thanks again for all your hard work, and posting up the results ^-^
