How botting may Kill this game (even if the game rebounds)

If they did reset I'd quit lol.

My solution to botters? Dont care about them. If they get banned, they get banned, if they dont, they dont. I never have trouble buying anything, You can make 1-2m a day without botting very easily only spending about 5-6hrs on the game. Boring yes but its a method. And there are probably more methods.

Everything is achievable without gil. in XI where do you think the Peacock Charm came from? A NM (and now BCNM) so go get it yourself if you cant afford it. I got one and didnt spend a single gil on it, just like Kclub, never spent a single gil on it. If new players get but hurt because they cant be bothered to spend time getting the item or making the gil to, thats their problem not ours. And if they're jealous about peep with a bunch of rank 50's, which makes no sense because level botting is much much much slower than just doing it yourself. Which is obvious from the insane SP linking leve gives compared to say going killing stuff much lower than your rank, you dont exactly see people botting raptors.

I've never once in XI felt botting ruined my experience or even felt like botting was part of the game (Excluding HNMs but thats nothing to do with ranking or economy) it was always down to RMT.

botting crafts and gathering is different issue, either bot will get to level faster and not be bored doing it, because it does it while you sleep, and gathering botting generates money.

I guess with crafting its a little differently but you can still level just as fast. Surplus and Inventory Space + Synth amount + Shard limit will slow a crafter down meaning they can only craft 1 day for as long as they have those conditions still up. A craft with 10 shards will burn them all out after 1000 synths, and you might be getting 300sp, where as someone who is genuine could control it, do a better synth @ 600 sp and only need to do 500 synths, which takes a couple hours. Thus a normal player could keep up if they so choose.

So if a genuine can keep up with a botter, it just comes down to "he gets it done for him while I have to work my ass off", which is just jealousy in my book. There are a lot of people now with full rank 50's on every class or every craft rank 50 and it doesnt bother me a single bit. Why would it?

many people who will bot crafts will also bot gathering, bot gathering in the night, bot crafting in the day, use the money and shards gotten botting gathering to craft, the higher you get, the more money you can make doing it. Its really a nice farmville like game, too bad this aint farmville lol.

fact is it effects you if you take part in the economy, if you dont, it will have less of an effect, but if they fix cooking, and make sp gain more greatly related to difficult fights, or effeciency, people will be buying consumables, which price will be effected by inflation.
