I want to be able to trade in my Myth Gears

for Mythology tomes.

Buy back, let's have that option. I had leveled Dragoon as my main and geared him out in i90's, then my FC needed a tank for our last coil group. I had leveled, relic'd, and geared my Paladin with Darklight at that point. However, I'm still rockin' one piece of Myth gear and a couple Allagan pieces, and we're already progressing on T5. Not having the necessary gear needed for T5 is making me a sad panda, because it'll take weeks to get where I need to be.

Considering my primary role has changed, it'd be nice to be able to sell back some of that Dragoon gear I had bought previously.

Obviously not expecting to get full resale value (ie 825 tomes for the Chest piece, maybe 600 in return for selling back to vendor?)

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Yes I'd like to be able to trade back, but not to switch class, simply to re-prioritize which pieces to get first. (I do so hate spending, then learning I could have done something better/more efficiently lol)

I'd like to trade in my Philo's first though. Old darklight gear is just taking up space, I could use them for materials.

I'm hoping by 2.2 we can have some kind of system added. But its a little late for the Darklight exchange.... So I hope it will still be considered for Relic Armor.

I feel at the current time, the cons still out weigh the pros. Until they can find solutions to the cons its better we just go with what we currently have which leaves us at neutral.

Could you please list your Cons? Cause I see none if the system was implemented correctly. Edit maybe you didn't read the link for the proposed system?


Don't see the harm in letting us trade in gear that we no longer need for a certain percentage of the total cost of the item. If the system was added correctly players would only be able to get like 20%-45% of the total cost back on the item they wish to trade in.

A player wouldn't be able to trade in one piece of gear for another piece.. So I cant take DRG body and trade it in for a PLD body.

Ugh, I wish they could comment on this further. I really don't see any reason NOT to implement this system.

I think it would help a lot of people out that level multiple jobs and don't really need the gear that is so time consuming and expensive to obtain anymore.
