I've already seen 15+ people quit the game who were capable of getting to turn 5. This game is just too casual friendly and I fear if they don't nail PvP on the head there will be a mass exodus (but I guess that's every MMO launch)

i expect it to be like Ballista fun for a month then dies completely. but what i saw in the pvp videos kill the whm you win, or lb first. doesnt seem thrilling at all.

I think your going to fall into the minority on this one.

I think that, even though CT is lower level/gear than Coil the majority will not only want to do it, but many that have left because they finished everything up to, but not including, Coil will trickle back in to see this new "achievable" by all content. Of course most of the stuper hardcore will also be staying to complete off jobs, extreme mode primals, gear collections. I don't see 2.1 hurting populations overall.

That's funny since I know a lot of people who will be coming BACK to the game for 2.1. I guess the people coming back will lesson the blow from anyone who leaves.

well if it wasnt true, Brd wouldnt be getting nerfed, DD wouldnt be getting a buff to make them on par with Blm. Blm wouldnt have gotten moving and casting taken away. we still have that awful color determines stats on gear. We'd have a decent story line that was actually fun instead of more filler than Dragonball z Naruto and bleach combined.

Population after this months subsciption is going to dramatically drop, So at 17th december 2.1 patch arrives. Everyone that's saying the content is going backwards IS saying the TRUTH. They will enjoy as much(Including me) as they can the first week before their subscription ends, get a taste of it , see that its new and exciting but other than that nothing else 10 days is more than enought to explore all new content that 2.1 brings. I hate to say it but the people who maybe leaving the game will be a LARGE number.

With population are you trying to say = you and a few more? Then yes, go ahead no one is going to miss you :'(

I have nothing against hyperbole but that's crazier than ludicrous speed. I cannot even imagine the story you describe. It's like trying to imagine God creating a burrito so hot that even he can't eat it.

OP there should be an overall boost to the population when 2.1 releases. A lot of people are not looking forward to lockouts, but thats not going to keep players away that were waiting for 2.1 content.

Meh theyll come back for a a week blow through it and leave again. Cause sorry 2 more dungeons aren't that great unless they are faster than WP. EM are part of the main story they arent gonna be as hard as 1.0 EM Ifrit. CT is gonna be a faceroll dont expect much from content that was made easier for DF.
