This actually makes me wonder what happens if/when they continue the relic story. Will people be forced to do the quest again if they got their weap in 1.0?

You have to have the class leveled to 50 and the class quests done before the new quest for it will pop up. I have 6 relics so far.

That's not relevant to what the OP was asking.

He has the weapon from 1.0 and can get the quest again (since the quest is different in 2.0).

you should report this to the Dev as a bug.

ppl who obtain Relic in 1.0 shouldn't need to do the Quest.

I have a stardust rod +1 and stardust rod in my inventory. I was wondering if they had eventually expanded the relic quest would I need to do it for my black mage again since the quest was sitting there. There isn't much else to do so I figured hell why not and redid the quest. No part of the relic quest is hard anyways, especially running through the primals when you already have a relic+1, might as of well knock it out if all you are doing is "space barring" around mor Dhona

Any relic quest you completed in 1.0 you can do again for a duplicate in 2.0-

Case in point:
I only had Sphairai from 1.0, so once I got "Armed to the Teeth I got a 2nd Sphairai for shits and giggles.
