Last 24 hours game has frozen up my entire computer 4 times

Been playing this game since beta 3 same computer same internet same everything. 3 times before work and just now when I got home(computer was off while I was at work) it did the same thing. screen locks cant tab out no ctrl alt del nothing. any tips thoughts suggestions would be very much appreciated

Hard lockups like this are hardware problems and given no software changes have occurred (in this context only hardware device drivers are relevant) you're likely looking at the usual suspects:

1) overheating (GPU, CPU, other chips with active cooling)
2) memory faults
3) power problems

in that order.

If you answer a few basic questions it will help solve your problem.

1) What are your basic system stats? Processor, RAM, OS, etc.
2) Has anything changed in or around your computer just before the issue? This could be new software or hardware installed, OS updates, new electronics around the PC, etc.
3) Does any other programs cause your system to lock up?
4) Does it always lock up at the same place? Loading the game, start menu, playing, etc.

If it's just the game causing the problem probably the easiest fix would be to uninstall the game then reinstall it. Sometimes files can just get corrupted.

I had this issue and it turned out my GPU was running at a steady 90C. Yeahhhh. So I replaced my GPU and all was good.
