Did not obtain Allagan Earings of Healing from The Binding Coil of Bahamut - Turn 1

Did not obtain Allagan Earings of Healing from The Binding Coil of Bahamut - Turn 1

    ISP:
    Virgin Media

    Type of Internet Connection:
    Optic Fiber

    Internet Connection Speed:
    50Mb

    Date & Time:

    Frequency:
    Once (Did not reproduce)

    Character Name:
    'Rhiki Swiftcast' and 'Gig Helios'

    Race:
    Miqo'te F - Keeper of the Moon

    World:
    Gilgamesh

    Class/Level:
    Level 50 White Mage

    Area and Coordinates:
The Binding Coil of Bahamut - Turn 1. From the treasure chests after the boss 'Caduceus'

    Party or Solo:
Party of a total of 8 players.

    NPC Name:
    None

    Monster Name:
    After 'Caduceus'

    In-Game Time:
    Unknown

    Steps:
While completing Turn 1 of The Binding Coil of Bahamut we opened the two treasure chests directly after killing the monster 'Caduceus'. The two drops were "Allagan Earings of Healing" and "Allagan Gloves of Healing". We agreed as a party to 'Pass' on the Earings for me while I rolled 'Need'. The Gloves were agreed to be passed to the Scholar of the party. Due to a network hiccup and leaving the instance too early, I wasn't able to obtain the Earings and so I asked the Monk of the party (Gig Helios) using a voice chat program to 'Greed' the Earings so that they were not lost and we both opened GM tickets after Turn 1 to see if we can get the items traded back to me (Rhiki Swiftcast). I got a reply soon after saying that I should post here, I'm not sure if Gig Helios has got a response yet.
Edit: I sent another GM Ticket and the GM seems to think that I should still post here. I don't want to keep bugging the GMs but I would like this sorted out. I sent the above and a bit extra:

"This is the same post as I posted in the forums however I don't think it's a bug just an unfortunate and unfair instance. I would like to request that I get the item that I should have been rewarded after rolling need in the instance. The Monk (Gig Helios) that I told to take the Allagan Earings of Healing due to my hiccup and instance leaving is fully willing to pass them to me (if possible) and he has also submitted a GM ticket. I ask this because The Binding Coil of Bahamut locks you out from collecting loot for the week once the turn is completed, and the drop rate of said item means that there's a chance I wont see it again for a very long time. This is the only time I would request for a restoration and I'm fully aware that I cannot request again"

Here is the reply I got:

Same thing Happened to me and my Healer, I contacted a GM and he told me that what I was requesting was "Outside the scope of our services."

    Refusing to accept that poor excuse for an answer, I submitted my request again Via the Square Enix site to get the items traded to my healer and this is the E-mail response I received;

Hello and thank you for contacting us today regarding an issue you are encountering in the game.

We understand that this can be very frustrating; however, we are currently unable to reimburse an item that was not distributed or had been distributed to the incorrect player. Although our policies may change in the future, that is currently not something we can restore. However, in order to prevent this issue from happening in the future, we encourage you to submit a bug report through our forums at http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/forums/631, using the appropriate format. The specific forum to submit it in is the In-Game Bugs forum. We will take your report and try to resolve these concerns as quickly as possible.

Should you desire to leave feedback about this, please visit our official forums at http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv. Although individual responses are not sent, please rest assured that all comments are submitted to the appropriate parties so that they can be read and considered for future updates.

Thank you again for taking the time to report this to us.

    TL;DR

You are SOL, Square Enix might change their policy on this, Maybe, Maybe not.
