    Anyone else see this problem with CT's loot system?

    With the one loot per week lockout, and the duty finder aspect, what keeps someone from getting their one loot that they wanted and just leaving?

    First off, lets say your main tank wanted the tank chest. It drops, and that person wins the roll over your offtank. "Oh my, that's the one I wanted, yay! Ok, bye!" Boom, you are just sitting there for maybe 10-15 minutes waiting for another tank to que. Not only that, your replacement tank qued for a CT "in progress". Why would they be doing that? Most likely they did it to get a drop from a boss further in, say they wanted something off the 2nd boss...and they find out, you are on the 3rd... It could be, your replacement tank is impatient and drops on the spot as soon as they see you killed the boss they wanted.

    So yea, 23 people, just standing around. This could happen several times a run. And if a large number people are just sitting around waiting, they aren't going to quit the raid themselves right?

    I assume CT will only have 3 chests at end, one for each party with 4 drops

    Which means it only has 1 level, and 3 paths.

    Maybe it'll be like Coil (have to finish and leave to get your loot).

    Anyway... to be honest, I do see myself quitting if the stuff I want doesn't drops. I usually don't play for the loot, but lockouts, caps and Coil being level 90 (while I'm still in DL + Vanya) kind of forces me to go for a specific drop. I don't want to be left behind and want to beat Twintania and the extreme primals before 2.2.

    Why is this specifically a problem with CT. Such a system allows this to happen with every current dungeon excluding CM/Prae (which only offer tomes) Primals and Coil (which you only attain loot at the end). People drop out all the time in current dungeons for one reason or another, but I've seen many stick it out for tomestones at the end even if the gear they want doesn't drop.

    Yea, I guess this isn't really a unique problem.

    I guess the unique factor, considering CT, was that it was said that people are only allowed one drop from CT in a given week, then are locked out of future drops until the next week... Saying that, I realize that is only what I heard so.

    Can anyone actually confirm that is true? Maybe I was being trolled.

    Because if that is true, say a bard boots drops and that bard has it so they pass. Then no one else rolls on it and the only one that wants it, has already gotten something. Would it go to rot?

    In theory, yes, it would be wasted/unobtainable and 'rot', any gear that is unwanted by anyone is lost to the void, any gear that is unwanted but not voted upon may be awarded at random or to the last person standing, just like regular loot except this time if you get the loot you're unable to get anything else until next week, so if you don't want something you better pass on it.

    I really hope they don't go through with the 1 loot per week loot system and its some sort of mistranslation. Because yes it will be a big problem people who win loot will leave because they have no incentive to stay because they can't win anything else. Lets say there is 5 bosses having 3 or so people drop after every time they get loot, will lead to lots of groups disbanding because there won't be enough people who check the in progress box because it is off by default.

    It will make much more sense to allow one NEED roll a week and a few greed rolls (lets say 3 greed rolls, with the tally going down each item you actually get) This will still prevent super farmers from getting ilevel 80 gear the first week. But better then 1 item a week.

    Will CT still give tomes? If so I would prolly stick around till the end of the run anyway but I imagine a lot of people might not.

    Without knowing the actual system yet, the one thing that I'm concerned about is that you clear the dungeon - get your chest, and nothing drops for your preferred job; no-one greeds because they want main job equipment first, don't want locked out in case the desired piece is in the next coffer, and the run is wasted. This happened to one of my FC Coil goups last night, nothing dropped for a "main job," for the first few turns.

    You still get tomes, and it's still something to do.
