Hate to say this but the only thing keeping me playing this game is that there isn't another MMO I haven't played. So Enjoy it while you can SE because the competition is coming to steal your money from meSure, you can *convince* yourself you can do this and that (level alts comes to mind) to kill time, but at the end of the day, we are paying THEM money to keep us entertained. We shouldn't be looking for an excuse to keep playing, it's not how it works in theme park MMOs.![]()
Getting tired of these threads...I only know of two FCs on my server that have cleared Turn 5 and probably only 1 MAYBE 2 of their static groups probably did it so we're talking...maybe 32-48 people out of how many thousand? SE is not going to cater to the high end minority. This game looks to be following FFXI's style of patch progression so every other patch will see expansion on the top tier content. FFXI Has done this pretty much since RoZ. With any luck they'll expedite 2.2 to ensure it's ready for PS4 beta so we'll have it in two months and you guys will have your new Coil turns. Of course you'll likely burn through those in two weeks and bitch about the lockout and lack of shit to do again.
I bet less than 0.1% of all players have cleared turn 5, and they should be congratulated for their accomplishment. They're fortunate enough to be in a group of equally skilled individuals who can complete the content. That's awesome. But if that means they now have nothing to do, well, sorry. The rest of us 99.9%ers will still have plenty to do and cool stuff to look forward to.
wow about 1% of the population has cleared coil....I'm really curious if 2.1 has anything that's intended to hold those of us who have been running Bahamut's Coil for months over to 2.2.
As it stands, virtually everyone who has cleared Bahamut's Coil only logs in for 40 minutes each week, and then logs off for the rest of the week. We've run it so many times that we have people with two full i90 jobs.
As far as I can tell, 2.1 brings absolutely nothing to keep us attracted to the game; we severely out-gear everything that's being added and it provides no form of progression for our characters.
Is there any plan to provide us with hold over content, or are we just going to be left to get bored and stop logging on?
Recycled primals.
I personally am looking forward to everything and I play a lot. I haven't cleared turn 5 yet but am working towards that, I enjoy making gil and am ready to run dungeons with new jobs to level up and gain MVP points. I also enjoy doing achievements and am interested in the vanity gear and saving for my house and contributing to my FC home. There is a lot to do, it might not get you a new piece of gear but who cares? The point is to enjoy playing, and as far as I see it there is a lot to enjoy for just a patch. I can't wait for the first expansion to come out.
