    well...i don't know about you...

    but for me its gearing off-classes using phil tomes/ct, getting myth tomes, using the myth tomes to get myth gear for said classes...etc...etc...

    also helping others in my fc do the same, and leveling a crafting class to help with Fc housing.

    If content release is based on the progression of those who are able/willing to play obsessively then the majority of the gaming population won't get a chance to see current endgame content before it becomes obsolete.

    The bottom line is if you choose to rush through content you'll end up having to wait around while everyone else catches up. It's no different going to a restaurant with some friends, wolfing down your main meal and then complaining that you have to wait for desert because everyone else is still eating.

    I can only suggest leveling alts while you wait.

    After seeing the Trailer for 2.1...I'm excited and I will have a few things to keep me occupied. If they are gonna be worthwile repeating is another question, but right now, I'm happy with what 2.1 has to offer.

    If any of those instances and bosses dropped any loot better than the loot we get by do coil I also would be exited. It could been lvl 35 raid for al that matters as noone will use ilvl 60/70/80 gear if they have ilvl90 already.

    Actually a lot of people use crafted accessories / armor that melded are better then I90 and they are I70. You don't know any new items itemization so don't act like you can say what you will or won't use.

    This is one of the many reasons Item Level gearing in MMOs is terrible. It creates a situation where the developers need to either horrifically limit/lockout content (Like Coil, CT, and Myth caps), or pump out content that upgrades your I.lv faster than can be reasonable.

    FFXIV is designed in a way that nothing matters but the I.lv of your gear, making it difficult to give any of the top tier players reasons to play in situations like this. This is a bad thing. Theres nothing they can do to change it at this point as the MMO is released, I just wish they fine-tuned FFXI's gearing a bit more rather than just go with the generic modern MMO I.lv scale. While FFXI did a lot of things wrong with its gear, it opened up a true RPG feel to it.

    Even now since FFXI has adopted a god awful gamekilling Item level scale, it still acknowledges that the sidegrade/unique item system works, and even with the Item-Level scale, there are still cases where an Item Lvl 119 is beat by a 115 due to additional stats. It creates a situation or instance where lower level Item level gear can be useful to a higher item level player, which is something SE could learn from their other MMO

    Until then, we deal with the reality that Item level is end-all be-all and that any content without an increased Item Level becomes useless to the most devoted players, and losing them does not spell good business for this game in 1 or 2 years. But I know asking some of you to think about the future of this game instead of your head rushing with high levels of whiteknightery at the mere thought of all them filthy hardcores being so ungrateful and asking for things like relevant content is a moot point... But you can try right?

    I know when someone brings up FFXI's gearing every babbling mutthead has to come in and make a joke about "Resist Poison"+1 or gear swapping. But I know reading is hard, but you can see above the word "Fine-Tuned", which means, "Improve and flesh out more" in so many words. The idea is i wish they worked out some of the kinks/negatives with XI's system and improve it into a functional awesome system, instead of just going "Sh*t we got to meet a deadline but we haven't worked on gear, Throw in generic Item Level bullsh*t and call it a day, should take like a week to program tops"

    Even if your a hardcore player I believe there are a lot of us that still haven't beat T5 and don't have the armor from there or weapon. I'm guessing extreme primal weapon will beat out relic +1 in some cases or give another option at least, as well as their accessory drops and crystal tower drops. The point is you don't know if its worse or better gear, how the fights all work, etc.. Complain after its released and you can tell me that you find 0 upgrades to your current gear in any of the content and you had no fun playing any of it. Also this is a PATCH, not expansion. The game has been out only a few months ffs...If you don't enjoy playing the game then unsubscribe. Myself and many others enjoy playing the game and look forward to all kinds of new things now and to come.
