i need help

I fought titan about 10 times today with two different groups. I dodged his attacks and stayed near the healer. But we never won and it was real rough we took care of the gaols
But we never seemed to win can anyone give me some idea what to do?
Also someone mentioned twilight gear or something like that. I don't know if I can get that gear because I'm only lvl 34. Thanks in advance

What happened? Did you simply just wipe, or get pushed off repeatedly? Or time ran out?

You might want to look at joining an FC where members who've done it before can help you out.

Titan is a toughie first time, and you will get a few wipes, but is definately doable. Also, don't assume you are at fault, you could have had team memebers not doing what they should.

More info would certainly help here, but ...
As a story mode fight it has a level cap, it's easier if your actually at that cap (your whole party) and geared to that level. If you (or another member) is at the minimum level, or wearing gear that is subpar it's bound to be more difficult or even unwinnable.
It's been awhile since the last time I ran one of these, did alot helping FC members progress through story, but iirc then a tank LBing as Titan lands after the heart helps alot. Beyond that it's more a matter of surviving the mechanics for a long time rather than trying to top dps.

You haven't told us what really went wrong. Did you get past the heart? Did the tank repeatedly die? Did the healer run out of MP? Did people always get hit by weight of land? Just fyi, you can bypass the 1000 character limit by editing your post.

I don't know if all of this information is relevant but it should help anyone that isn't already using it. Everyone needs to run to the edge but not the red area when Titan jumps up to minimize damage. If a single person fails to do that consistently, the party will be strained. Everyone needs to dodge landslide (straight line AOE attack) or they will get knocked off the platform. DPS should save their offensive CDs for heart phase. Everyone should stand close enough to the healer that medica heals them but far enough away that weight of land (circular AOE that surrounds a player) will not touch the healer. If your healer always runs out of mp, you can bring a bard that uses mage's ballad so the healer won't run out of mp. Your gear looks sufficient, you don't have access to darklight gear because that is level 50 gear. Since Titan story mode is level 34 and you are only 34, you could level up to the cap which I think is 37.

You're not at max level for the fight. Check "The Naval" for its max level it syncs to, level to that and update your gear where you can. You'll have much more damage output. (You are not high enough for Darklight, which is what you referred as Twilight.)

Are you running out of TP? Look into getting Invigorate (LNC 22).

Can't kill the heart? Limit Break it.

The farther you are from Titan, the less damage you take. Your mages should be max distance from Titan at all times. Close range combat classes should find gear that increases their DEF, which sucks for MNKs.

Well i myself with others defeated him yesterday.
Tank really needs to hold agro.
There is an attack were he jumps up in the air, at this moment there are brownish square like platforms well that is were you should all stand on. He then has an attack were the floor will show almost like a straight wave thing. Basically comes down to just avoiding his attacks and also when a member gets incased in rocks it is a must that you need to attack the rock to release that member.
When the heart shows up (at 50% i believe) focus on destroying it. It really does not take long to eliminate the heart. Also a good thing is for the tank to have Titan face away from other members so they can attack from behind him.
As a blm i was a fair distance from him but believe the bard and healer were close to each other- i can actually heal myself at times so it was no big deal
As for twilight gear, no i think that comes much later on in the game but members should all have lvl specific gear to make it easier.
Important thing is to not rush, just wear him down and you should be a success

We got to the heart twice and only destroyed the heart once, to go on to the actual fight.
I never ran out of TP, the tank seemed to die quickly. We all moved to the side when he jumped up. The only thing that kept repeating was either tank dead or healer was KO by knnock out. I fell over twice once when charging LB on titan's heart the other i just didnt move fast enough. When we finally did break the heart the other dps died and same with healer. The Cap i think is 34 and im about 3000 of from 35. other then that the tank held agro

Sounds like your healer just wasn't used to it, or the people weren't equipped properly equipped (enought defence stat)
It can be a hard fight for a healer of the people take big damage. Medica is their friend.
I'd say you've been unlucky with your team, by the sounds of it.

Also DPS needs to burn him down ASAP.

You know the mechanism by now, so I'd say try a shout out for help from people who have done it before, or an FC. Or try DF again, and hope for a better healer (dare I say it)
