This should be a minor concern over making sure the primary player base is happy and able to gear themselves/run events at their leisure.
To be honest majority don't even bother paying the people to run through Titan, I had one guy offer to run me through Titan when posting a group for my third relic.....yeah I laughed at him. I may hate Titan, but you're only a lazy idiot if you are willing to pay 300k for a Titan run. To be completely frank, anyone that pays for that in all likelihood used a RMT service, but they most likely won't stay playing the game for long. If you take the easy way out most people get bored with the game as then what else is there to do but run coil once a week or fate grind another class up (which just gets boring quickly) so those groups that charge for runs really aren't helping the game in the long run in my opinion. Not to mention those individuals that did pay can't usually dodge for shit because Titan is def a dodge game. I tend to use Titan to hone my dodge skills anyway.

I'd bet the primary player base is not happy over the idea of paying to do content, especially when the ways to make the large price tags are reduced and takes a long time and rmt is effectively encouraged.
The lock out is the biggest barrier stopping widespread selling of t1-4 content. The chances of finding a decent pug for coil would be drastically reduced if all the decent pre-mades were able to make money selling their spare slots.
The lock out is frustrating and I would like a turn-specific token system for coil (every turn has their own tokens and their own shop that correlates to current loot tables) but that would also shorten the lifespan of coil, for better or worse. As it is right now it's probably for the best.

If the loot system was the same, wouldn't kinda make CT even less of a reason to do it than it already is?
Not if you were loot locked for 1 piece per week. You would ideally want to get 1 piece from each instance each week.
And seriously guys, very few people are going to pay for a chance at specific coil loot. We've already seen enough evidence that's it quite difficult to get specific loot over even 5-10 runs. No one is gonna pay per run and just hope they will get a single piece of i90... If they do... Well I doubt they will sustain that for very long.

We already have a system for getting one piece of Coil level gear a week.... it's called 'Myth'. I like my chances of getting multiple drops from coil instead.
Thing is gamers like having the best....and myth gear while in some cases is BiS while in others it's not. Having the option to either get one piece per week or one piece every two or three weeks as is currently the case with myth gear is a far better option. Gearing one too with all allagan gear would hit near the 3 month update cycle ensuring that the content is not obtained too quickly like they worry about. And that's one class. Not including all the others that can be unlocked on a single toon.
The issue people are running into is why do content over and over again and never get what you need? It gets depressing and discouraging eventually turning people off. Doing something for 3+ hours and having nothing to show for it besides a food bill to replace what you used (and maybe lost before it was up) and repair costs and an ash tray full of cigarette butts and the being frustrated the majority of the time does not a fun time make for a lot of people who's free time is precious to them. Specially when you could be walking away with nothing. You're worse off the when you started.
Oh something to point out....I don't care either way..I am just being the devils advocate for this cause I'm bored at work.

The CT having gear restriction is just the dumbest thing imaginable because it was supposed to be a way to gear your alts. Since the loot is ilvl80. Which means its easier to gear your alts threw coil then it is via CT.
Weekly lockout unlimited loot=Quicker alt gearing
No lockout Limited to 1 loot=Quicker "main" gearing
Yoshida has no clue what he doing he has designed the restrictions in the backwards order. OR yoshida knows what he is doing and he is just milking as many subs as he can by forcing the game to be played two days a week instead of being done within month or 2 then resub as next patch.
This.
As the only end game in the game right now is Coil, and it gives ilvl 90, the only way to look at CT was as something to get gear for our secundary jobs. And we are supposed to get gear for them once/week?..... WTF?
It's not end game content. Is something with a ilvl requirement of 55. I haven't finished Coil, and I had bad luck with Coil drops but even me will be almost full ilvl 90 just with Mythos. (Sure, not BiS, but probably better than ilvl 80) Why woud I use CT to get gear for my main? Vanity slots for 2.2? That's crazy.
I woud be ok with it as something for secundary jobs as I like to use more than one, but I don't want it to take me 10 weeks to get gear for a secundary class. Gear that is not the best one in the game.
Hell, this makes the armoury system even more stupid. I coud level up another character per class and in those 10 weeks I woud get (With the new cap limit) 4500 Mytho. With 4500 Mytho + Extreme primals giving weapoin ilvl 90 and accesorys I coud be full ilvl 90 without CT at all.
Coil has the end game loot
If coil has the same system, everyone can sell coil and carry extremely noob to get the top gears, and nobody will ever have the skill in this game anymore...
Well you can't carry someone threw twintania. Because of DpS requirements. Thats all that matters really.
Coil 1-4 is really easy. You can get welfare bis from the myth vendor that is equal stats to allagan. Imo coil 1 and 2 are easier then hm titan. Because there is no constant instant death like landslide or double bomb/puddle in coil 1 and coil 2.
