I think the general assumption is that the next CNJ job is geomancer (it's pretty low hanging fruit). So when people think of those types of abilities they start theorizing a second CNJ job.How about looking at the damaging side of WHM? I would quite like to see Quake, Tornado and Flood personally. I would have them as enemy target AOE that also buff friendlies in the area. so Quake could deal AOE damage and give allies stoneskin, Tornado aoe damage and blink buff (basically makes next three hits miss) and Flood would be AOE damage and Esuna & small aoe heal.
Or something like that
Since we have Stone, and I'm guessing our other job will be Geomancer, I would like Soulstone. However, that has nothing to do with cure III.... I'd rather fix Cure III.
I'd really like it to turn into something more insta-cast/mana saving or something that's sort of a single-target Medica II but instant. An "Oh crap" to Benediction's "Oh sh*t"
For the former, maybe work in a proc based on regen that make the current skill instant and no mana (sort of like thunder procs on BLM). That way it fits into regular healing as a mana-saver.
In the latter, it throws a medium-heavy heal and a short term regen. Has a ~1minute cooldown. Lets ya deal with spike damage with two advantages - it's quick and gets out there and it doesn't generate as much instantaneous hate as a really big heal would.
I hate cure 3, even though it was my go to spell in 11. SE ruined it for me! Its like the bastard child no one wants to talk about. So they can get rid of it for all I care, I dont know many healers that use it. Its not even on my bar. Instead I would like something useful for 2.1 this year. Re-raise! or aoe stoneskin or shell (I dont like that its supposedly built into protect, its been in every game, why not this one? I feel naked as a healer without it), hell I will take anything more useful than Cure 3!

I would rather have a spell that just shot baby bats flying on the tails of small animated Nayan cat rainbows that had utterly no use what so ever because at very least then after beating a particularly hard boss I could at least celebrate appropriately it would still be more useful than "Cure" III


I'd like to see a HoT proc based ability but it should probably come from Medica II's as Regen is a job ability. The first magic skill that came to mind was Arise. A resurrection spell that recovers all HP of a targeted party member, increases their MP regeneration for 15 seconds, and removes sickness from the target. The skill has a 5 minute recast.
