The armory/job system was supposed to be a big thing in this game...But now it is useless. Having 1 loot/1 week lockout on ct gear, primal gear, and a Character lockout for ct makes gearing alt classes pretty much impossible. Why aren't these lockouts Job specific... At this point I am kinda disheartened. I was looking forward to CT as a way to gear alt jobs. Having to level a full on alt character to do this goes against the armory/job system.

If the translation on this thread is correct, I am severely disappointed with the direction this game is headed, and with the way they are trying to prolong content by making Character over Job lockouts, and ridiculous caps.

If the lockouts for coil and CT were Job specific, I would run on 3-4 jobs a week and have Plenty of things to do in between each content patch. If it is Character specific, I will be a Monday Raid Logger again. I played XI for years, and time investment was what held you back, not artificial gates...

I hope this is a mistake(sorry for hoping you translated wrong Reinheart.)

Edit: I do not mind caps, I just want the ability to gear Multiple Jobs and enjoy the game more. The only way for this to be possible is Job based lockouts, not Character based lockouts.

Well the lockout is an issue but honestly my biggest issue with is was once you have done all the regular quests for your first job there is only class quests per five levels and then its fate grind and dungeon grinding.

Only for you to get to 50 and then not be able to do all content on those classes. Even when new tiers come out, we will only be able to actually gear a couple classes at a time, and they will not be endgame. It is a terrible system. What happens when a shiny class out and you want to gear it to see what it is like at endgame... You would have to hurt your current main to gear it...

I agree, if any locks are to be put in place…it should be job locks not character locks…promote players to gear all their jobs.

It just limits the ability to enjoy the class and job system. I do not understand why they would do that...

Let's say they introduce a new job 12 months from the time you got your main job to level 50.
Your main job would be level 50 + 12 months worth of gears.
You level your new job to level 50, which is useless at that point with the gears it has.

If you want to catch up your new job to your main job, you will need another 12 months...

By that time, you had a choice of making your main job to be level 50 + 24 months worth of gears.
Instead, you have 2 jobs at level 50 + 12 months worth of gears.

And then..., you'll be seeing /shouts saying "Only level 50 + 24 months worth of gears!".
Which means, you're stuck because you chose to gear your new job...
Oh no!!!!

Remember in the beginning when you people were all like "omg why is everyone rushing? Take your time to gear and level, it shouldn't be fast!" and now when the game forces you to go slowly (just like everyone claimed to want), it's a big @#$%ing deal and everyone is crying about it. You all got exactly what you asked for.
