gifthorse's medals show up fine. Also they're more than likely messing around with the people who post against them by saying they're one and the same as a joke because of how gullible some people on these forums are.

That's because he's not banned anymore. Look up Kilta_Firelotus in the medals topic, notice how she doesn't have medals, also notice that she hasn't made a post since the 31st of May. Look up Kurokikaze, no medals, and I know for a fact he was banned. Anyway you can keep being ignorant and I'm going to stop being off topic.

This is last time I'll talk about this. Vesperia came out and said he was gifthorse, so it's not like I'm spreading a lie. Also I'm sorry if Adol is sad that he's wrong and I'm right, so sorry for giving him a negative emotion. I was using my sig to point out how someone is blatantly going around the forum rules, that's all.

If you stuck around this long there is no real last straw since there will always be another straw to cling to on the horizon, the thing that makes people quit after playing so long is getting into another MMO.

Mostly the remaining players are in 2 camps, people that can't afford to play a proper MMO (these will remain regardless) and those that are clinging on in hope of things changing around and them being in a powerful position when it happens. FFXIV will never have a major turnaround, it may scrape some players back for a still uncomfirmed PS3 release but it won't be anything like the success XI was or do any better. As such it's life span will be a lot shorter and its additions far less grandeur and far fewer. Realisation will be the game killer more than the failing of any one patch.

People that have hung in this long really won't quit after 1 update, there will be a point they give up but one update won't do it...not after 8 months of being strung along.

And why do people act like Companies != dungeons? they are quite clearly now the initiation of dungeon content much like the Adventurer's Guild is the initiation of leves. So don't get your hopes up that companies are something completely different because they aren't, they are one and the same, because I see people acting as if, "omg look at all that content we're getting, dungeons AND companies! wowza!"...

Well from the Grand Companies page, it sounds like it's going to be much more than just dungeons. I'm sure the GCs play a part into the dungeons like you said though.

Its getting might, mighty close to being that way for many of the people I talk to on my server. I mean, you want to be loyal here but, there are only about 5 different things you can do in this game. Leves, nm's, craft, farm, quests. Not a huge list really after 9 months. The changes need to start being deeper and coming quicker or its all over. Hurts to say it, cause the game has great potential. But you cant run a franchise on potential.
