Alot to cover in a 3 month span so You would expects alot in each pacth ( Not leteered patches like a/b) those are hotfixes not patches mainly
yes everything that in the letter will happen before summers ends, but what is in the letter?
current-"Development of core mechanics for the job system"
future-"Cost assessment for job system implementation"
current-"Establish the details of the initial set of jobs and their skills"
future-"Determine the attributes of each job"
current-"Development of graphical assets for each job such as equipment"
future-"Stage by stage implementation of job-specific weapons and armor"
This means that they are still in the "planning" stage for the entire summer.
There is no word on "Implementation of the job system" at all, so if you think that job system will be here before summer ends, you will be in for a huge disappointment.

Wouldn't that be so funny.yes everything that in the letter will happen before summers ends, but what is in the letter?

Think of it this way, how can jobs be in game before summer ends, when their "FUTURE task" is still [determine the attributes of each job]?
They haven't even develop the core mechanics, they haven't even establish the details of the initial set of jobs and their skills, they haven't even assess the cost of implementing jobs, they will be doing those during summer.
No, you saying this is what's funny. This is exactly why SE shouldn't be giving us too much info if they don't have any real time frame for it. People jump to conclusions and make up their own time frame. Then when those (false) expectations aren't met, they get pissed off.
How many people are already expecting the Job system for 1.18? Like, seriously? Wishful thinking is one thing, but some take it too far and end up extremely disappointed in the end.
What Poipori said is absolutely, 100% correct. There was never any mention of the Job system being implemented before summer, or even in 2011 for that matter. They never said anything about a time frame for implementation. All they said was that a Job system was being developed and gave us a few details. Unfortunately some took it the wrong way and are now expecting its release within a few months.
{That's too bad.}
Everything on Letter Producer X is being implemented by Summers end, Says it clearly on it ( or at least most of it)No, you saying this is what's funny. I think SE is trying to show people how much work there is to be done just to get to the point where they can start implementing this stuff. Unfortunately we do tend to jump to conclusions. Also the letters are translations from a language with a very different structure than English, and even if they are the best translations possible its a bad idea to hang your expectations on subtle nuances in the wording. I would read these letters as broad strokes. If SE published their gantt charts for these projects your head would spin, and you'd spit pea soup.
Yes, we all know that. But show me where it says that Jobs are being implemented. Poipori already listed all of the Job related stuff, and it's all just preparations and planning.
The only thing listed for implementation is the gear, but not the Jobs themselves. Which I find kinda funny lol
Exactly my point, why would they says JSE w/o putting jobs along with it.. that makes no sense at all, in which case they "are" implementing it. and besides he said he wants everything on that list "in game" by Summers end" In the game means implementation.Yes, we all know that. But show me where it says that Jobs are being implemented. Poipori already listed all of the Job related stuff, and it's all just preparations and planning.

and for all you know they could be at the closing point of there development stage, it just probably has got to the "end" of it yet
I agree with you 100%. I love the amount of info we're getting. It's a huge difference compared to what we got in FFXI. I also agree that it is in SE's best interests to show us their progress. However, they need to choose their words very wisely or else, well, you see what happens.I think SE is trying to show people how much work there is to be done just to get to the point where they can start implementing this stuff.
