Thema: Is 1.18 the final straw?

Just the way I am, I want to be among the first to take on these new challenges and I don't want the content to come or the Jobs to come and find out I can't do this or I can't do that because I don't have this levelled. Yes I know it seems like a ridiculous thing to some maybe all but to me this is important, I just wish there was a more fun way to gain these levels outside of Leves.

I know SE loves the Guildleve system and at first it wasn't bad but after 8 months or so of nothing but Leves I would be very happy for the day to come where I never had to do another Guildleve again.

I usually don't like your posts, but this made so much sense there's no way I couldn't like it.

What if a whole assload of content is released and it's geared for pre-lv50 players. What then? That's the kind of situation i'm trying to avoid by simply dropping the game until the game is worth playing. Leveling up JUST to level up sounds depressing.

If it fails, which i think it very well may if 1.18 under delivers, itll die in an inferno. This game is too big to remain free to play to SE, and if 1.18 doesnt bring people back like they hoped, and instead loses people as it seems to be many peoples last straw, we very well may see these servers go down. PS3 version will be scrapped as it just wouldnt be worth it to put it out anywhere else as it will lose SE money. All i can hope is that they do deliver, because if they dont we very well may see this game go down.

Yeah I know what you mean, but I suppose the main thing is the people I play with. I mean what else are we supposed to do as a group, we have been everywhere, done everything the only thing left is to level classes.

Whatever happens, I just hope SE learns something from this whole thing. They've almost completely lost my faith in them as a customer.

I doubt I would quit for good, but I would take quite a ling break for however long it takes to get this game up to at least the same level as most other MMOs which came out in the past few years. I remember telling my friends I would play this game even if it was completely boring (which, ironically they told me it would be) but it is getting harder and harder to do as time passes.

Problem is by the time the game does meet the standards of the past couple of years to you after your long break, Alot of the big MMOs on the horizon will be out and then SE will be competing with MMOs of this generation while it just achieved the standards of last generation. Truth is SE cant afford to wait that long, if they dont have a large dedicated fan base by the time these other games go live, it wont be good for their bottom line.

Play a different game as a group? I play several different online games with the same LS mates I met years ago in FFXI. I mean we all played XIV together as well but moved on to games that were, you know, fun.
