What do you feel went RIGHT with FFXIV?

I remember back in the days in XI when I would go 0/3 days in search of a party on my dragoon during the loldrg era. Now however the top dog in DD happens to be WAR/SAM with a very very very close second in DRG/SAM. Oh how the days have changed.

Twilight Over Thanalan? xD That's probably the only song from the game I enjoy.

I can't even give credit to the graphics since they're so horribly optimized, and the fact that they use all that power to just copy/paste terrain across the zones. It's a shame, really.

This is the internet people are anonymous, they are mean because they can be without any worry for disciplinary actions. They cry whine and moan over mostly insignificant details.

If SE came out and released a game that was 150% done with everything cried and moaned about. Then they would complain why don't I get to start at cap level with a billion gil. Also they'd complain getting the final relic weapon is too hard and time consuming.

Out of all the MMO'sI've played XIV is imo the best looking. AION and WOW to me feels way to cartoonish, overly emphasized animations make the game feel awkward. The towns look like they were animated for a disney movie. Aion has that same feeling but would be the anime version of disney.

The battle system is not that bad and does offer a lot of flexibility to players, and allows them to set their own roles. But that would involve these trolls in thinking about something other than slandering something or someone else. I like that most of the lag is gone and I find enjoyment in figuring out which skill and class combinations work best.

As well I like the levequest system for quick gaming sessions but would really like to see somehting more time consuming and challenging brought in, whether is be storyline missions, dungeons, hamlet defence, arena style pvp I would like that.

As far as travel I think the tele system is nice and serves its purpose but more options should be available.

1 minor clarification. When I said UI.. I didn't actually mean the laggy, overcomplicated menu system. Just what's on the main screen, movable scalable and adjustable.
