Somewhat new player after some guidance in jobs!

So i just levelled summoner to 50 mainly through story quests and fates, but I don't think i want to continue playing it as i got bored of the whole DoT based gamplay. I also wasnt that big of a fan of the pets unfortunately since summoners been my favourite FF job since forever. I dont want to do the massive quest to get my relic weapon on summoner as i only really want to have to go through this once.
So my question is, out of Dragoon or Bard, which one would be better for a player that is both somewhat new to MMO's and that gets a little bit of lag at t imes making it hard to dodge Aoe skills (which i hear is essential in things like Titan HM). i like the idea of Dragoon, but if it requires good dodging skills or if it requires good timing with skills i might go bard instead. What would you do in my situation? i only really want to level 1 job to 50 again.

Bard:
Pros
- can move while using every skill, has some managing issues since many off-GCD skills
- decent DPS for what they can do
- songs highly desirable for progression and easing most encounters
Cons
- lowest DPS class
- mostly used as song machine, silence player
- butt end of all jokes regarding ease

Dragoon:
Pros
- visually appealing class
- high DPS
Cons
- melee
- most popular class
- messing up your combo results in restarting combo entirely
- jumps are bad to use due to animation lock (changed in 2.1)

In Titan, everyone has to dodge. DRG get a little more leeway due to more HP, but its not much. If anything, BRD are going to be dodging more since Plumes like Ranged for some reason :/

However, DRG have many more AoEs to deal with normally (outside of Titan) thanks to them being melee. And they are positional DPS, so you do need a bit of precision and positioning to do well.

BRD are overall easier, but are definitely more boring than DRG.

Why not level both to 15 or 30 (you need to level LNC to 34 for BRD as it is right now, and until the patch notes say otherwise assume you still need BFB as a BRD after the patch), run some dungeons as each, and then decide for yourself?

Well if you were going to play summoner at endgame, you would be expected to level up Bard to 34 to pick up Quelling Strikes as a cross class ability anyway. You would also be expected to level up Black Mage to 26 in order to pick up Swiftcast.

For that reason, I would say go with Bard or Black Mage next.
Both are classes that you can level mid-way through and not "waste" any time if it turns out you don't like the way they play either. Both are great solo/questing classes, and both get an AoE fairly early on that makes leveling with Fates quite fast.

Though to be entirely honest, at least in the servers I've been in, Dragoons have a rep of being the first ones dead, however that's because it's the most popular class most likely.
