I'm not talking about Tanaka.
Yoshi-P says he wants to bring more of the traditional Final Fantasy feel to this game. In my mind, there's only one way to do this.
SE, please make amends with Hironobu Sakaguchi, the father of Final Fantasy, and bring him back to Square.
Since he left, we've seen FF10, which removed the world map. FF12, with its complete departure in play style from any previous Final Fantasy title. FF13, a step in the right direction, but still lacking what made Final Fantasy great.
XI stood apart from these, since it was an MMO, and therefore had to be different.
Now, I enjoyed all these games, but to me the series hasn't quite been the same since Sakaguchi left the company. Even if it's only as a creative consultant, the wealth of RPG design knowledge, specifically for the Final Fantasy series, could do nothing but make this game better.
I'm sure there are political and financial reasons why this likely won't happen, but maybe since you were able to get Uematsu on board to write the music, you could get Sakaguchi on board too, eh?
It couldn't hurt.
