Free Company NPC

I thought if we have a FC workshop, it would be nice to have an NPC to serve as an Apprentice. The Apprentice could learn limited or special crafts and take orders from FC members, which provide the materials perhaps. Id like to set the NPC to quicksynth items for me for a price while i go about other things. Just some thoughts, feel free to expand upon the idea

I was thinking of maybe Hiring a NPC as a companion, in place of your chocobo. I miss the NPC's from FFXI lol. Having their role change based on what weapon you have them use, and adorn your FC crest when maxed out. I just think there's room for improvement and customization instead of copy and paste birds. Considering the limited benefit of companions thus far, why not have a better range of customization.

Imo, these would be a good way to sink FC points to level up said NPCs. Thanks for reading, now back to daydreaming
