What's everyone's highest dps reached with the training dummy?
What's everyone's highest dps reached with the training dummy?
i guess everyone is expected to have that dps calculator add on now?
Only the pros.
Sorry I didn't mean for it to be a loaded question. Here is a few examples:

wow...
It's a very simple question and it's too hard for anyone here to answer. Gaming community is more retarded than ever these days... and it's only getting worse![]()
Or you are retarded and don't understand how to properly phrase a request.
You ask for highest dps on a training dummy...
How long do you want people to dps for?
Is aoe allowed?
These sort of factors completely determine the answer you are looking for. If I was you, and being an intelligent person, I would have said something along the lines of....
"What is the highest anyone has parsed on a training dummy while dpsing for 5 minutes / 50,000 total damage with / without using aoe skills."

I notice a lot of evasive answers on these boards. I can't imagine anyone is stupid enough not to realize people are seeking average single-target DPS output. In WoW, they call these "Patchwerk" scenarios - in optimum conditions (single-target, nothing to dodge, nothing to avoid, nothing to time, no mechanics, where the boss stands there and gets beat on) because of a boss named Patchwerk that encompassed just that.
Over a 10 minute period with mostly AK/WP pieces and DL, I averaged ~200 DPS, assuming inaccurate parsers and including rotational on-CD CD useage. Obviously this number is subject to change on high movement fights (where BRDs/MNKs will excel) and other factors.
Jeez, it's like determining thoroughput is difficult or something.

You need guidelines if you want any sensible answers.
I could right now go do a quadruple Flare with full buffs on, in a party, with the best food, against 3 training dummies, and I have no doubt my DPS would be far above 500 if not closer to 1,000. There's not much difference between that and two equally geared players stopping at different points, under different circumstances.
..Use common sense? Do a ST rotation that doesn't end right after a CD is up?You need guidelines if you want any sensible answers.

It's a known issue where meters are generally accurate(barring SMN) for yourself, but not for others.
This post is bad and you should feel bad.Dummies don't fight back.
The only DPS I care about is live content in which I move around, dodge aoe, occasionally have to move away to avoid eating floor and doing nothing.
As a close range DD with flank/rear mechanics your dummy "perfect situation" dps sais nothing to me.
Seems like a bit of a rude response to an offer I gave to get a better topic going instead of no one posting their results, as happened.
The original question is "What's everyone's highest dps reached with the training dummy?" It doesn't say do a ST rotation, and when to decide your CDs are past enough to not inflate your numbers. Sadly, there's not one common sense parser test everyone follows or should follow; in practice a 10-20 second parser result (trash), or a 1-2 minute parser result (AK/WP boss), a 5 minute parser test, or a 13 minute parser result (Twintania), will be far different in numbers and favor certain classes more than others. As I said, without guidelines you can't get a proper basis and makes the topic question too broad regardless of a universal basis you believe the question entailed, written somewhere in stone. No one's results would count for anything unless they themselves chose to copy another person's exact guidelines.
Things that could vary from person to person:
AoE/ST
Party buffs
Food
Potion use
End time
Total duration
RNG with procs and crits and repeats (BLM could re-do the parser over and over until something quite a bit higher than normal appears and would fit with "What's everyone's highest dps reached with the training dummy?")
