FATE credit as a Healer

I am a White Mage. Ever since about level 40, it has become very hard for me to get decent credit in a FATE. I heal everyone and do damage whenever possible but I often don't get higher than bronze or silver and sometimes receive no credit at all, though I was there the majority of the fate. I would like to know why this is happening, intended or otherwise.

An example would be Svara's Fall, I did it twice with my friend today and we got there when Svara had approximately 65-70% health. The first time I received no credit at all and the second time I got gold. He received gold both times. Both times I was healing everyone that was taking damage and doing the occasional Stone 2 and Aero on Svara.

On another somewhat related note my friend is getting upwards of 450 company seals from Gold rank in fates while if I get Gold I am lucky to get 250.
