Running slowly

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. My girlfriend runs considerably slower than I do (in game). She is a bard and activates swift song and I still outrun her. Even with sprint we are about equal. She plays on a laptop and I have no clue what her settings are, and I play on ps3.

I'm upset because she is loving this game and has never played video games before, and she approaches every situation thoughtfully and smartly, yet cannot get out of AoEs and etc. After many times of telling her she just needs practice and to get better, we decided to run tests and I always outrun her.

On siren, we are both lalafell. Without sprint, we run together and I end up outrunning her. In about ten seconds she is no longer showing up on my screen. When she runs in front of me, I start to catch up and her character just appears to be moving slowly. She is not walking; it looks like lag, or a graphical issue. We tried testing on Malboro where we are both mi'qotes and she still cannot run quickly.

Any suggestions?

If she is using a gamepad have you tried calibrating it or tried using kb/mouse instead to measure speed?

Also try using auto run in your test. If there is packet loss she could be losing ground.

She just uses the laptop keyboard, but I'll ask more about her setup and post soon
