Piety affects your Mp/ticks. More piety = higher mp/tick in combat. Which imo makes allagan cane bis. Having 5k mp is nice too. That is not possible without the cane.

Whm problem is mana generally not throughput. Having more mana and higher mp/tick really helps. It lets you use more cure 2 , medica 2 and more raise before going too low.

Cane will officially be BIS in 2.1 anyway due to lv 95 so yeah just get it now if you can :P
