Teleporting in FATEs (PS3)

Hi all,

I have a hilarious/annoying problem.

On the PS3, the confirmation button is the same as the auto-target button (X) so, when I'm mashing X trying to target monsters in FATEs, I frequently end up accepting a teleport request from a party member.

Most of the time, I end up back at the hub for the FATE train (Quarrymill, Costa del Sol, etc.) but sometimes I target a Goblin in the South Shroud and re-materialise in Limsa. And the requests happen so often they're difficult to avoid.

Is there a way to prevent teleport requests? Or at least have them appear in the background? I had a quick look in the options, but I couldn't find anything.

dude I hear you I'm doing FATES and I'm in the battle trying to get my attacks in and all the sudden the freaking teleporter request pops up recently I've been able to avoid it but when I mistakenly select it, it gets annoying quick i'd be okay if it defaulted to cancel when it pops up and you have to select acceptance, or if it had a confirmation pop up like a "are you sure?" Or a "really teleport?" after choosing to teleport.

Use the better targeting system on the PS3, hold R2 and hit R1 to cycle. Or hold L2 and hit L1 to cycle, whichever is easier for you. Negates having to hit X so there's less chance of accepting the teleports.

I tend to use left and right (d-pad) for monsters and up and down for allies but that doesn't work so well when you're solo.

It would be nice to have the prompts pop in the background though, as they're not very useful when you're in a battle.

Yeah! Like with the Free Company invite - or have it appear in the bottom right corner, like friend requests do.
