    Considering that they have said any Class / Job Increase will come with a Level Increase (in a Patch, not an Expansion) and that any new Races would be added on a ratio of 1 / Expansion, I think it is fairly safe to assume we won't see 'Race Exclusive' Classes or Jobs any time soon.

    I would love to see Advanced Classes (that require 2 Jobs to unlock and the new Class starts at Level 1) and Advanced Jobs from Advanced Classes.

    IE: Paladin + Warrior 50 = Samurai Class (Level 1) unlocked

    With the game as-is, the only two jobs which could easily be thematically worked into current content would be some kind of gun-wielder (Corsair?) given that the thematic fixings exist in Limsa-Lominsa. Perhaps Beastmaster in Gridania, since it's not as if it's far from the wild and has plenty of resident animal-handlers, and Red Mage in Ul'dah, because one night some people from the Thaumaturge and Gladiator guild got drunk and inspired.

    Red Mage = Tank? Wields dueling swords (rapiers and such, distinct look and animations from GLD's straight and curved swords). Evasion/Deflection-based rather than mitigation (stylish headwear all contains +enmity, because all enemies get jealous)
    Beastmaster = Damage? One-handed axes, and pets. Let the forums resound with cries of "nerf Apkallu"
    Corsair = Damage, and...healing? Okay, I just like the idea of shooting heal-bullets (they did this in Xenoblade and it was wonderful)

    Anything else should wait for an expansion, with new areas and new themes.

    *no seriously, I half-expect them to next show up in the story quietly collecting shards of Dalamud, and then they make thier return to Eorzea proclaiming, "Behold, THE GUNMOON!", and it's got these giant shotgun barrels sticking out of it at all angles.

    I would say it is not hopeless. SE knows how to hype things up and leaving this for the last second would indeed create alot of hype.

    But it is unlikely, they would've told it earlier trying to get people to stay here.

    introducing a new class only a few months after release is highly unlikely, anyway. they are working on the musketeer, that's all we know at this point. (and from the sounds of it they only do it because they 'have to', since it was originally promissed in 1.0 -.-)

    either way, since playing SWTOR I definitely am no longer thinking a ranged tank / tank with a gun would be a bad thing. it can be quite the fun, actually! so why not? a corsair a tank? sure! (as long as the other pew pew class is allowed to be an .actual. supporting class or maybe a healer, maybe something like the Assault Rifle/Pistols 'class' in TSW :P)

    About what I want to introduce- it’s more like what I think I have to introduce. Something related to guns because the (musketeer) guild in the game. Something related to that I think I have to introduce.

    Also I do feel that scouting classes are lacking so I want to bring in Theif, Ninja and those that have to do with stealth. Also more casters like Blue Mage and Red Mage are something I would like to add.

    BLUE MAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    after playing a Monk and Dragoon I can't imagine implimenting a ranged tank in this game.

    The only thing I got out of the various tank classes in swtor was that they all played identically, same abilities just different names and some of them had longer ranges than others.

    Just from positioning needs alone in various fights in XIV being a ranged tank would be a nightmare if not impossible... let alone the fact that 99% of boss mobs would simply walk up to you and punch you in the face whether you were a "ranged tank" or a "melee tank"... which kinda makes the whole ranged thing pointless.
