Freezes just before joining the Server

I played well into the morning last night. Then I awoke
I can't seem to log into the game. It accepts the password fine, and i click "Play". It loads the main screen(?), and my character is there; everything's cool. It's when i proceed to log in that the problem occurs. It asks you if you want to log in with your character. I select 'Yes', and it freezes after approximately 5 seconds of the PS3 loading (says 'Loading' in the bottom right corner). All the particles and motions stop in the video, but the audio keeps going. I left it like this upwards to an hour, hoping it would go through; all that changed was the music stopping. My brother, who is in the same house, can play perfectly fine. (From what i can tell/remember, the PS3 version always "skips" at this point, but only for half of a second.)
I took the disk out and cleaned it. It happened again.
I loaded the game with the old beta client. Same problem.
I re-installed the game and loaded it every way possible. Still happening.
I'm at a loss here. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I think someone up there hates me. Because this was the first week EVER that I was gonna hit my myth cap...alas...

I'm going to hope the maintenance tonight resolves this issue. :/

Maintenance did not solve my issue....I guess the next move is to contact support and wait in line...

Log on from a different computer or ps3.

    Power cycle your router.

I logged in on my brother's PS3 just fine. We are in the same house, so we have the same internet provider.
I still cannot log on with MY PS3.
When it froze this time, I believe I heard my PS3 stop. It was "whirring", and then it just seemed to "lock up", and I'm right back where I was...

Contacted support. It has been resolved. I had to delete FFXIV Saved Game Data.
