    Packet loss experience

    Anyone else have random packet loss? I can ping google or any number of websites, even the JA FFXIV server and get 0% packet loss. However, whenever I ping the NA servers I get around 4-7% packet loss.

    Does this mean I should bite down and transfer to a JA server? This is really annoying when in coil.

    I actually tested this myself since I've been having latency issues and when pinging the NA server I get a noticeable packet loss of about 4%. Tried it on different NA servers and still get the same thing. JP, no packet loss what so ever.

    Find out where the loss is coming from, could be a router leading to the Datacenter in Montreal. DSLreports has a line quality test, but it only tests from 2 places in the US, so it may not help. However it might help find the cause if the failing connection is closer to you than the servers.
