Yes.

Edit: WAR/PLD/BRD are the only classes that aren't required to +1 immediately.

Yeah LB are based on the Ilv weapon of the party

So a I lv55 MNK or a Ilv90 MNK LB will do the same dmg if they are in the same PT

Thyrus+1 + DL cowl gives more healing power, Thyrus + AF2 robe + AF2 circlet gives better HP and defense.
Just think about this and take what you need more.
I took AF2 gloves and now that I'm full DL + AF2 gloves I have 3800 HP so I can upgrade my Thyrus to Thyrus+1.

Yes, the LB calculates damage based on the average iL of the weapons in the party. It's therefore best if the weakest DPS of the appropriate class use the LB, since the other, stronger members can output more damage during the cast time.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, the weapon damage also increases other stats? If that's the case then I wasn't aware of this at all... Is there anywhere I can find more information on this?

This is fairly easy to test yourself. Equip your Thyrus and remove your accessories, and see how much you heal for. Equip a lower item level weapon and equip accessories until you have as much MND as Thyrus + No accessories. The former will be noticeably stronger.

It's really why your healing is boosted so much as your weapon iL increases, whereas armor doesn't give you as much as a jump.

Please take the above post as just fun, no need to flame me - personally though, I do not participate in number parsing of stats and abilities. I want to be good, I don't care about being the best - being the best is too much "work" for a game that is supposed to be fun.
