Alternatively you can just go to the Market Board and click into the 'Meals' section, it displays every food there - even if no one's ever crafted or seen it before. The market board is a database on its own.
Also I'm a WHM and I don't use a single piece of crafted gear and I survive Twintania just fine, in fact I've beaten it with my raid team.
As long as you have about 4.2k HP in party you should be right, if you're dying check to see if your SCH is shielding everyone - because they always should be before a fireball regardless.
If Vit is all your looking for, all food except those with crafting and gathering stats give Vit.
the highest tier food gives 15 vit NQ and 19 vit HQ.

2* foods are amazingly bad this tier because their % conversion is so low. E.g. If you want all 19 points out of HQ Pineapple Juice, you need 634 VIT to start with. That's 200 more than I have as a full DL/Relic+1 paladin!
On the other hand is HQ Mulled Tea which gives 15VIT max at 4%, which means you only need 375 to cap it out - way more reasonable - I have 378 VIT as WHM including 3 accessories melded for +8-9 VIT
max 12 @ 400VIT: NQ 3%VIT - Mulled Tea, Buttons, Eft Steak
pro: cheapish as easily quicksynthed con: not likely to get max benefit as a caster due to needing 400VIT being a bit too high
max 15 @ 375VIT: HQ 4%VIT Mulled Tea, Buttons, Eft Steak
pro: less VIT required to get all 15 points, higher stat cap. con: HQs take time so likely to cost twice as much off market
max 19 @ 634VIT: HQ 2* food 3% VIT
pro: still none con: 634VIT is still absurd. If I had 400VIT I still would only gain 12 VIT.... same as NQ Mulled Tea.
tl;dr is, use NQ Mulled Tea (or equivalent) if you want to buy bulk. HQ Mulled Tea if you want the "best". Never use NQ or HQ 2* food for another tier or two unless you like wasting gil.

Well yeah of course, but they said they're almost full ilvl 90. At that point they should have more than enough VIT even without the melds.
That being the case, if they're working on T5 they're going to be using the best food they can anyways, so looking for food specifically for VIT when the food they're using IS the best VIT food for them is kind of a moot point.

Well not everyone knows this information, most players don't even bother with food at all which makes me almost ill to think about. Now a few more people on the forums are informed and aware of misleading stat caps. So it's not a total lossWell yeah of course, but they said they're almost full ilvl 90. Just your friendly neighborhood elezen

HQ Mulled Tea is probably going to give you the best bang for your buck. I'm really not sure why it's so expensive on your server...Pineapple Juice is MUCH more expensive on mine.
Mulled tea is...easy. xD It takes like, 5 ingredients (three of which can be bought off vendors) and water and fire shards. Maybe the shard requirement is why?
