Quelling strikes -> how does it exactly work?

Even if it drops before you use things like sidewinder and barrage+ea it's still worthwhile to quell your initial attacks. Why not use the skill instead of not using it? :O

Making them sweat, sure... but if I don't quell it ends up in me becoming the tank and I didn't sign up for that :<

Ive got a tank friend i do this to myself(not usually in PUGs though, i dont really trust randos). BLaMo tank is fun, and im not afraid of taking a hit or two.
