So I'm sure many of you remember Chocobo Caravans from 1.0, and even more of you probably remember how it felt somewhat lacking in its implementation. Well I have an idea to spice things up.
Bring back the Chocobo Caravan as a PvP game type!
Here's how it could work:
Essentially, the game would be an objective/capture the flag type deal where there would be two teams, Attackers and Defenders. The defending team's objective would be to get their caravan, which instead of being made up of solely 3 chocobos could be made up of Yellow Chocobos, Fat Chocobos, Black Chocobos, and White Chocobos, to various checkpoints. The more chocobos they have by the time they reach the checkpoint, the more points they receive. Naturally, the attacking team's job is to completely decimate or at least greatly damage the caravan before it reaches those checkpoints. Each game can be made up of three rounds.
Each different type of chocobo would be worth a different amount of points(Fat chocobos could carry heavier/more loads than a yellow for example), and as such would be higher value targets for the attacking team. Being that there could be multiple arenas(from La Noscea to Thanalan to The Black Shroud and Coerthas), the lay of the land could present the attacking team with different ways of ambushing the caravan, as well as be provided with certain items that might help them hinder the opposing team, while the defending team might have access to cannons or other items that help them out as well.
Based on how well you do at the end of a match, you'll gain more or less points in addition to a completion bonus. The rewards could be made of "PvP currency" that you could use towards PvP gear or abilities, gil, xp, tomestones, or whatever else the devs could offer as rewards.
If anyone has any other ideas to add, by all means chime in and maybe flesh this thing out a bit. I think it would be a great way of adding more variety to PvP in the future in addition to the Wolves' Den and whatever that "Frontline" PvP will be.
