Vanity slots question.

Will weapons be changeable as well or is it only armor?

I ask myself the same question.
It would be pretty stupid to not be able to choose what weapon we want to display. ( looking at you FFXIII and Ifrit weapons )

Well, first of all, it's not likely to be slots. From what we've heard it's more akin to the way Aion/Tera/WoW do it, ie you change the appearance of one item to another. Not a separate slot. Also, afaik, it includes weapons too.

WKC2 (JPN) had the best method for this. there was an accessory you could alter with every piece so once you equip'd it... poof new look. keep everything as is except 1 accessory. i liked the trade off. 1 less ring of boosts for the ability to change the dullness of end game copy/paste toons!

I'm hoping multi-part gear pieces like cowls get an overright slot for each slot they fill. If a player only fills some of the slots in a vanity meld the empty ones could appear blank (Example: if a player vanity melds a chest piece but no head piece to a cowl, the melded cowl could appear to just be the new chest piece with no helmet).

I'm guessing this will only apply to crafted gear and dye-able gear. If not I'm changing my WAR to have a PLD AF appearance and vice versa.

They said there would be restrictions most likely, to prevent things like that. And to prevent things like Mages in Plate.

It better not... That would mean the previous gear would be destroyed and you would have to find a new set every time you wanted to change your look. Also how would that work with holiday items? Say I used my lightning set, then changed the set to something else, then wanted to change it back to lightning? I wouldn't because my gear is gone...

SE just go with slot's it'll be a lot better.

Mostly what i wonder is: do we lose the old item , when we use vanity system (item merged, like that junk of gw2) ?
