They should just remove the Killing Blow component of it and have it Recover HP. Either that, or have it as a Conal Attack so you can drop everything within range.

After 2.1 mercy stroke is gonna be on a lot more hot bars! I already use it on pld for a little more oomph during burn phases. I can imagine more monk and drgs using it too.
As a pld, sure I use it only once during each boss during coil, but the time I use it- I'm really glad that I'm helping it die that much faster. Because if the fight goes any longer... I start to pee my pants...

This guy is smart. <3I get two or three successful uses of it in a wp run on trash mobs. They should either buff the damage it does, or give it a bleeding debuff for about 20 secs with the same hp restoration if it dies while the debuff is active, whether you're the one to kill it or not. That said its free dps when you can use it, and if you're lucky may take a tiny load off your healer I guess.
I still don't see much use for an execute ability on a tank that just heals you..
If your fighting a boss, its a wasted skill and has no use other then to push it for some extra dps
I highly doubt when creating dungeons, SE designed tanks to really need that extra health restoration when fighting. It's far to difficult to hit when dps are doing 2-3x that damage you are.
Changing it to some it some dot effect or some 5-10 sec debuff thing would be ok I guess.. but still just doesn't seem to have an impact on the game in a meaningful way atm
I like this.
In its current state Mercy Stroke is like a minigame you can play in WP: lets see if i can make it work on next pull! Damn the BLM got the kill once again >.< no heals for me!

I use it on Turn 1 to tell the DPS group that our Snake is on 20% HP... so both team can finish Snake on same time ....

Would also like to see Mercy Stroke as like a 6 second DoT that triggers the on-death heal.
On outside world mobs, I have been able to time Mercy Stroke. In instances when I've tried, I will hit Rage of Halone (or some move), then execute Mercy's Stroke after. And for times where I've "killed" the mob in the log, the log shows Halone that finished the enemy. Where I would think if Mercy Stroke is executed after, it would register after RoH, not before. Not sure if it's the same on Warrior?
E.g. Pressing 1, then 2. But 2 happens before 1.
To be honest i really like mercy stroke and once you gauge the teams dps and your dps, you can get regular heals in dungeons. If you have a high dps its even easier to land.
The new recast time is going to be great in dungeons.
I have Holmgang 2nd in the macro with a /recast to save space on my hotbar.

I won't lie, been WAR since release and use this ability everytime it's up.... never knew it did the big heal on killing blow. Because, I just hit it as soon as I see flashy. LOL
