Something to do is something to do. Whether it's something you like to do is up to the person in question.

There IS plenty to do in the game, there are somethings that aren't his taste which is fine.

Hate to break it to you but THERE IS NOTHING TO DO IN THIS GAME. Some players have done everything in the game period. There is nothing to do in the open world it is stagnant, Leve's are useless to level 50's, fates are useless to a level 50, dungeons are linear and boring that you just want to get them done asap. Log in to do coil and thats it. This isnt much of a game and btw this is a remake and they should have had more content but they dropped the ball on that.

Personally, I don't just stop at 1 level 50. I level up my other classes.

Quite honestly, in all MMORPG advertisements and word of mouth I've seen and been apart of, I can quite honestly say I've never been told:

"Hey, wanna try out this new MMO? You have so much you can level! Done with Dungeons? LEVEL! Done with Storylines and all available quests? LEVEL!"

Normally when you hear about all the things to do in an MMORPG, leveling isn't generally part of that equation as leveling is a means to an end and even Yoshida has said leveling is something he considers more of a tutorial than activity, which is why they rocket us to end-game. I don't know about you..but after I get my first tutorial of the game I don't need to relive it 8+ more times just to "have something to do", i'd rather be able to raid or do solid dungeons as something to do. So again, it's not that it's something "you don't wanna do", it's the simple fact stating that leveling is considered content is kind of...bad.

Leveling all 8 classes (9 Jobs), is only part of "something to do". There is plenty of other things to do outside of that:

1) Ifrit ( Hard Mode)
2) Garuda ( Hard Mode)
3) Titan ( Hard Mode)
4) AK/WP ( For Myth and Philo)
5) Casturm/Prae ( For Philo)
6) Coil (Turns 1/2/4/5)

After 2.1

1) Crystal Tower
2) Ifrit ( Extreme Mode)
3) Garuda ( Extreme Mode)
4) Titan ( Extreme Mode)
5) Primal Storyline ( Which happens to be after 50)
6) PvP
7) Ultima ( Extreme Mode) Look Extreme to me x.x
8) Beastman Dallies
9) Treasure Hunting

Other things you could do if you want too is Gathering and Crafting ( if you are into that stuff)

There is more to do than just leveling and plenty of it. ( if none of it suits your tastes, then unsub don't torture yourself over a game).

I find that there is still a lot I want to do. I haven't yet reached Coil, but I do have my Relic+1.

I'm currently farming myth, and when I reach my weekly quota, I level my Chocobo to rank 10 for the sweet Paladin barding, and spirit bond jewelry for gil along the way.
It's at rank 5 right now.

I went into this with the realistic expectation that it would take a year for the game to have a lot of content, and I'm so busy in my daily life I never run out of things to do in game.

I really feel if people truly can't find anything they want to do in game, they simply shouldn't play.
I don't understand all the complaining.

If I didn't like doing something, rather than complain, I just wouldn't do the thing.

No there isn't. And people defending it and saying YES THERE IS STUFF TO DO ITS PERFECT AND ITS FUN!!! is only hurting the game instead of helping it. There are plenty of people who have done literally everything..and when the only "difficult" end game content has lock outs and limits...yeah people get bored and quit. This game needs more content plain and simple. We have to be patient though >.<

People like Legacy Members? Yes it's possible.
Starting Fresh with a new character? Not possible yet.

Edit: Game is FAR from perfect, and needs work for sure. However, there is plenty of content to do ( at least for me there is).

Sorry, but this is at least partially false. I've learned over many many years of playing games, that I like many things in the games I play. It's why I play all classes/jobs and do many things in game. Not everyone is like me, some people are more restrictive in what they like. That's not a bad thing, but it DOES make you say things like you do. Not to mention, this is basically the release of a new MMO. If they were able to keep some of the engine and such from 1.0, we'd likely have more content at release, but for the most part they have to build it all from scratch, and it takes time. And for those who do everything, like it or not, as fast as possible? That's THEIR problem. I have a ton of time on my hands, and I do play quite a bit, but I don't rush through every single thing, in what feels like an attempt to burn myself out.
