What we're looking for is for SE to implement the proper full-screen mode, with the ability to alt-tab so we can nip out of game and do something else, like look up a recipe or join friends on ventrillo etc. This isn't the same as the full-screen windowed mode that people are implementing with 3rd party tools (like the now defunct Windower). Proper full-screen mode for any one with an SLI or xCrossfire set-up is essential, or the additional graphics cards sit there doing nothing at all.

There are several reasons for that:
- This feature is a standard windows/directX feature each program should have out-of-the-box.
- We do not have access to the Crystal tools engine nor to the source code of FFXIV, so we have no idea what SE is doing wrong.

What everyone is asking for imo is a more improved Window view that fills the screen giving the impression of Full Screen.

That's the point, we do not want to have a window view that gives the impression of full screen, we want full screen.

I'm pretty sure that SE has hired experienced programmers and not some kids that are still learning.
If they do in fact need help then it's best just to fire them and restaff with competent programmers.

Most of the problems with the game so far is too many people with little to no experience in the mmo market.
Fortunately they have replaced the FFXIV lead with someone that actually has actually played mmos.
