Ability to full-screen alt-tab out of game?

Are there any plans to impliment full-screen alt-tabbing?

I use two AMD 5850's in xCrossfire and the only way that this can be enabled is in full-screen, but the trade-off in the loss of alt-tabbing makes this an annoying choice!

With the huge amount of ways that people communicate whilst online and the need for players to be able to nip in and out of game for research etc, an option to enable alt-tabbing would be appreciated (although I know this is not likely to be the top of anyones to-do list)!

It would be a simple fix, SE. Change the program for windowed mode so the window is rendered with no title bar or border.

You know, like every other PC game made in the past 15 years.

First of all, thanks to SE for inproving the game experience with updates.
Yes, an alt+tab function would be a very nice addition for the full screen feature, because most players want to use other programs (internet browser, etc.) to make researches, get help or to communicate via other programs.
I also think that this function would not be really hard to develop.

Yes please. Please add a totally working full screen mode and a windowed full screen mode (a windowed mode maximized without any border allowing for quick alt-tab), like many other game do. Having to play in an ugly windowed mode (or use external tools) is really a downer.

i also would welcome a alt+tab/alt+esc function in fullscreen mode.
my pc is a bit on the weak side so the game runs alot better in fullscreen but i have to abandon looking stuff up on the net to do that which kinda sucks.

Yes, please. I hate having to use random third party programs like shift-window just so that I can flip back and forth through crafting recipes.

The ability to switch between window and full screen is an absolute must-have. I want to play full screen to see the beautiful graphics. But I also need to switch out to respond to chat requests, or do a search on the web. The game crashing whenever an application shows a popup, which is beyond my control, is unacceptable.

Every other game supports it, so I don't see any excuse why this game shouldn't.

This is definitely the most wanted improvement for me, above any gamplay stuff. I want to play fullscreen and alt-tab to my desktop without crashing the game all the time. Please Square Enix, fix this as soon as possible.

Edit: Yes, this must be proper fullscreen and not some borderless window fake fullscreen mode, SLI/Crossfire users rely on it.

I agree with this i don't understand how we don't have alt,Tab for FFXIV i can understand for FFXI but FFXIV should have had this from the start of the game. This should have been added around Beta days. I would SE could take the time and add this too there list of stuff to do.
