FF XIV can be played anywhere in the World?

i asked a friend to join FF XIV, after some discussion he decided to start playing but he says that they don't sell the Game in Bolivian stores, and from the Websites purchase he recives a message like this:

"Our products and services displayed on the Store are not available for purchase by individuals outside of the Serviced Countries. Our system indicates that you are outside of the Serviced Countries for this Site.
For more details on what countries are serviced please refer to the Terms of Use."

Guess he can't buy it from here.
But, is it possible to buy some CD from ebay or any other site and purchase the game?
Lets say its possible, will FF XIV work for him in Bolivia?

We could just try by buying and subscribing but...u guys know, cash aint free..!!!

The game is available in South America in general so getting his hands on a copy from another South American country should work. I just don't know if he'd be able to register an account. Depends on exactly why the game isn't available in Bolivia. There are sometimes legal reasons (MMOs run into unique legal issues) in which case even if he installed the game he may not be able to set up an account. Have him set up an Square Enix account and see if Bolivia is listed under Country when he signs up (some countries are just plain missing from the selection list). If it isn't there it may just end up meaning he needs to use a different country (Brazil perhaps) and use an alternate pay method other than credit card (Paypal).

I have a company member who plays in the carribean. Really cool guy.
He has like a 3 second delay because of this. Might be something to think about.

I really wish they would think more about players like this.
