1) NPC's don't sell HQ's.
2) NPC's that sell stuff past 20 are usually only in one specific spot and most players can not be bothered to travel and waste time just to save 1k on a NQ.
3) NPC gets expensive, fast. No one on their right mind would buy a level 30 weapon for 20k when the AH has it at 5k.
4) NPC's items don't sell the vintage/recrafted gears that are almost always superior.

I could go on and on. Really, I haven't considered NPC's as any kind of competition, ever.

Wouldn't it be helpful to hear from a consumer for some perspective? Don't expect to make a thread on the General Discussion forum and not receive replies from the general public. If you want crafters only to reply, then post on the Disciples of the Hand forum. Just sayin'.

I agree. As a consumer, I'm more inclined to roam the market boards/ do dungeons/ have friends craft my gear instead of roam the shops. I have plenty of friends who are like-minded, but I can understand the necessity of NPC shops. NPC shops are useful for people who know how to play Final Fantasy games, but not Online games.

that is very true, npc poses no threat, i sell HQ gear never NQ,
1-2 fail to HQ, shove it to npc XD

This is why I purchase almost all my gear from vendors. I refuse to pay the retarded prices players charge for stuff I can get considerably cheaper at a vendor. Get real, why should I pay some schmuck 5k for an item I can get at the vendor for half that, or less?

Gear from vendors is only cheaper at low levels (maybe 1-15). After that you're better off using the AH as the same item is almost always cheaper.

Yes.

Especially with Toad or Boar based items.
