How did this even get approved for release? Mob spawns feel like something that was cooked up on a private server project, after the first camp every levequest group flees from battle making it nearly impossible to solo. They're faster than you can run and if you're melee, good luck getting a bind off.

To be honest, this feels like one of those free chinese MMOs, you know, the ones advertised all over little websites and crap.

Let's not even mention the fact that some people can use up their experience gaining in one day. I have ~1.5 hours a night to play and all day on the weekend. I guess I can't level my main because I used up all my time on week nights. That makes a very very boring day for Saturday and Sunday, hang on, I'll just sit there sawing for hours. Oh wait, I used up all my crystal shards and can't farm more because I'm not getting exp anymore.

"Why are you farming, just do levelquests to rank up!" Right, I'm a rank 20 lancer with every other job at rank 10 - 15 and I can't solo the ~rank 20 levequests. Plus, there's only 6 including the ones at the ~rank 10 camp on a higher difficulty.

Is accuracy broken? Even with accuracy gear and a great deal of focus on dexterity, I miss or the mob evades every other hit. Good god if I can get the TP for doomspike, you better watch out. Oh wait, just evaded, CRAP.

From every perspective imaginable, this game was a bad decision. Can you lead me down your thought process guys? "Let's see... World of Warcraft, millions of players, players can hop on at any time, level at their own pace, have an all around good time. Aion, grind wall at 20, but overall cool game concept with many subscribers. Got it: Let's just steal the XI engine, upgrade the renderer and half implement things to take shortcuts. GENIUS!"

In the South Park spirit, would you guys at least buy me dinner first? I like to get wined and dined before I get F@#$ed!

The web is full of testimonials to how terrible this game really is. You have a lot of changes in store, but not nearly enough to bring an already butthurt fan base back.

I think the whole philosophy here is kind of screwed. SE has some sort of giant ego and to be honest, feels like they think it's some sort of privilege to play. Got news, it's not, we're the customer. You're expecting people to play your game just because, it doesn't work like that.

They way I see it, you've dumped more money into this game than all your other games. To fix it, the game basically requires a re-write for input, network, and countless other sub systems. The sad part is, you'll probably just settle for a crappy game, cut your losses, and move on. Hence the new MMO in development.

This game alone has more potential than just about every other MMO out there because the story is awesome and the graphics are so advanced, however the follow through sucks. It was more like follow fall-on-your-face.

It only takes getting burned a time or two to realize the source of the burn is probably a no-touch zone, so perhaps you should take a note or two from the popular MMOs and fix it.

well this is useful info of someone new to the game, though some of it is probably because of newness. in all honesty you should be able to solo leves your level pretty easily, maybe you need to level con for cure, it only needs rank 4.

there is 3+3 per region, basically there is an adventures guild in each starting town, you may want to run there so you can do different leves or higher leves. for level 10-20 there is 18 leves available.

The mob spawns used to be a little more interesting, though people found them annoying, some monsters would follow you arround.

Basically one of the big problems in this game is low level, it doesnt lead you or teach you what is out there that well. They should have instituted some story quests that basically walk you through the initial game mechanics, and battle. There are a ton of people who still dont really get battle to this day, and im sure there will be many who dont undertsnad the new system. Almost all knowledge in this game must be attained from outside sources, most of it isnt even hinted at in game.

What you end up with is someone having trouble knowing what do to, how to do it, what thier limitations are, where to go. And with the low, and fairly quiet populations, probably no one to ask what the deal is. SE as veteren game developers put beginners on an exploratory and explantory track in the beginning on in every single rpg they make offline, i dont know why they explain almost nothing at all ingame via story telling in FFXIV.

They should have had some npc who explained and demod battle, someone who explains leves, a quest that takes you to the three main towns before level 20, explains leve excahanges and links better, etc. Its all good to have deeper hidden stuff, but the basics should be explained in a story telling fashion to newbies.

I understand what you guys are saying, however, I have only ever been able to pick up 3 quests for the ~rank 10 camp and 3 quests for the ~rank 20 camp. This can happen at every town, I understand that. However, you may only have 8 in a 36 hour period, so that puts a damper on those sort of things.

In regards to skewer and directional AoE abilities, the detection is terrible. I might be just unskilled with it, but I can't seem to position the mobs where it hits multiples.

Currently I have the following set up -
All War/Magic are 10 or above, BSmithing, GSmithing, Armorer, and Mining are rank 10 (I'm leveling them in congruence). My physical level is 22 and I have focused my stats on Dexterity, Strength, and Vitality; Dexterity being the main one due to acc issues. I have copper rings + 1 in all 4 slots for accuracy and optimal rank gear in other slots focusing on accuracy and attack. I have a Harpoon which is soon to be replaced, but certainly an acceptable weapon. I equip Second Wind, Sacrifice, and Cure for heals. In a 1v1 pull, I can solo things up to about level 27, after that I miss too much and their TP attacks do way too much damage. In a 2v1 situation with level 25s, the TP attacks usually end up finishing me off. Can't heal through consecutive 300 - 450 TP attacks from mobs.

In XI I played a Dragoon for 3 years, including all CoP/ToAU missions for the rings. I'm no stranger to dieing, soloing, or dealing with healing myself in tough situations.

Regardless, we're getting off topic here.

You can visit all 3 main cities to get more Leves. You can also do a variety of other content inbetween the cooldowns. I don't have enough time in my allotted playtime to complete everything anymore, I don't even manage a full leve set. Diversify and stop trying to solo a multiplayer game.

Any moderately intelligent player will know that letting the mob run leads to more skill points, as they spawn more mobs for you to kill.

Also, I paid £6 total for FFXIV including the Garlond Goggles. I walked to work and back that day to cover the bus ticket cost I spent on the game.

I wouldn't have cared if the disc was blank at that price lol.

Killing them before they reach the destination will just make the new mobs spawn master, and without aggro to boot.
