    Trap card

I feel like the director of this project at this point is saying "Hahahaha you've activated my trap card! You paid $75 for a FFXI Mod with terrible gear and shoddy programming."

How did this even get approved for release? Mob spawns feel like something that was cooked up on a private server project, after the first camp every levequest group flees from battle making it nearly impossible to solo. They're faster than you can run and if you're melee, good luck getting a bind off.

To be honest, this feels like one of those free chinese MMOs, you know, the ones advertised all over little websites and crap.

Let's not even mention the fact that some people can use up their experience gaining in one day. I have ~1.5 hours a night to play and all day on the weekend. I guess I can't level my main because I used up all my time on week nights. That makes a very very boring day for Saturday and Sunday, hang on, I'll just sit there sawing for hours. Oh wait, I used up all my crystal shards and can't farm more because I'm not getting exp anymore.

"Why are you farming, just do levelquests to rank up!" Right, I'm a rank 20 lancer with every other job at rank 10 - 15 and I can't solo the ~rank 20 levequests. Plus, there's only 6 including the ones at the ~rank 10 camp on a higher difficulty.

Is accuracy broken? Even with accuracy gear and a great deal of focus on dexterity, I miss or the mob evades every other hit. Good god if I can get the TP for doomspike, you better watch out. Oh wait, just evaded, CRAP.

From every perspective imaginable, this game was a bad decision. Can you lead me down your thought process guys? "Let's see... World of Warcraft, millions of players, players can hop on at any time, level at their own pace, have an all around good time. Aion, grind wall at 20, but overall cool game concept with many subscribers. Got it: Let's just steal the XI engine, upgrade the renderer and half implement things to take shortcuts. GENIUS!"

In the South Park spirit, would you guys at least buy me dinner first? I like to get wined and dined before I get F@#$ed!

The web is full of testimonials to how terrible this game really is. You have a lot of changes in store, but not nearly enough to bring an already butthurt fan base back.

I think the whole philosophy here is kind of screwed. SE has some sort of giant ego and to be honest, feels like they think it's some sort of privilege to play. Got news, it's not, we're the customer. You're expecting people to play your game just because, it doesn't work like that.

They way I see it, you've dumped more money into this game than all your other games. To fix it, the game basically requires a re-write for input, network, and countless other sub systems. The sad part is, you'll probably just settle for a crappy game, cut your losses, and move on. Hence the new MMO in development.

This game alone has more potential than just about every other MMO out there because the story is awesome and the graphics are so advanced, however the follow through sucks. It was more like follow fall-on-your-face.

It only takes getting burned a time or two to realize the source of the burn is probably a no-touch zone, so perhaps you should take a note or two from the popular MMOs and fix it.

    wow, you are sour...

That's is not even accurate.. you do not get NO exp at all, you just get a little penalized for it, which is not even enough to say it's not worth leveling and do leves. Also, I would forgive you if you posted earlier this year, but they said the fatigue system is getting removed.. so why do you waste your time complaining about it still?

Let's see... World of Warcraft, millions of players, players can hop on at any time, level at their own pace, have an all around good time.
For your information, so does FFXIV. It caters a lot to the solo player and you can level at your own rate. If you mean that you can't because of the 8 leves every 36 hours, than ok there are some limitations but nothing prevents you from grinding SP on mobs if you want to.

Now I understand that you are frustrated about the game as it is right now, and of course I agree that the game should not have launched at that time considering all the bugs and the unfinished feel it had but they are working on it and honestly the game is a lot more enjoyable lately. I myself enjoy it, I look foward for the revamped battle system and additional content, and there are lots of areas where they can improve, but

I enjoy it and that's why I play it. If you don't enjoy it don't play it and wait until they fix the things you feel are preventing you from having a good time playing.

Telling people not to play it if they don't like it is a guaranteed way to ensure that no one plays it, eventually.

Shozokui is offering advice because he wants to enjoy it. He's actively offering critiques and giving advice, which is a lot more than what most people who don't like this game do (they just quit).

The short version is that for each class and character, you will get normal experience for eight hours, followed by a slow drop-off over the next seven hours that ends at no experience gain. - Joystiq
I tried to defend this game just as you did, but there comes a time when you realize, just wow, there's very little to defend lol.

I stated it before, but since you overlooked it and went straight to all the criticism I'll restate. The game has the potential to be absolutely amazing, but there's no follow through. Half implementations, short cuts, crappy XI ports of sub systems.

As FF fans, we're seeing our company deteriorate. Yes, that makes me sour.

Really? Then you are doing it wrong, period.

"Every hour you gain a fatigue rank until you reach 7 hours of additional gameplay, then you lose all exp."

This is completely, absolutely and incredibly false. Also, it has already been confirmed that fatigue will be removed anyways. Some of the other points you mentioned are already confirmed to be rebalanced as well, such as accuracy. Are you even following the forums in the last weeks?

Everything else you posted is not even worth of an answer, it's pure hatred into words, lol.

Your other two topics are cool tho, but this one was pretty much useless and sorta troll-like

I have to agree with much of what you said at this time. It's been 8 months and the things the players were wanting are still not implemented. There has not been much content added. There is no Auction House. There is no linkshell management functions added. No Chocobo's. No Airships. Basic party features/search still not added. I find it hard to swallow that they are adding dungeons before taking care of these things first. I am a huge FF fan but this is getting ridiculous. I'm disappointed and I also feel like you do. I don't think I will ever come back when I leave. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

What am I saying is to take a break from the game until they fix and add the stuff he wants or feels would make the game enjoyable for him. I did not say "here is the door" like other people say. I didn't tell him to go vent and whine somewhere else. In fact he is entitled to his opinions and feelings of the game and that is why the forums exist. Even said I agreed with the OP for the most part.

What I am stating is that I don't get people who forces themselves to play a game they don't like... kinda masochist if you ask me. What would be intelligent is to stop playing, comment on the forums and share thoughts and suggestions (usually better done in a constructive way) and come back after a patch to test the game again.

No need for players who just complains all day long (in game).

And also the part about offering advice, I get it for parts of the post, pretty much the part where it directs you to another post and not the post itself which is most whine and crying... but if you read my post I just highlights some of is "critiques" as you call them (i.e. the fatigue system) and just inform him that there is not point to cry about it since his point is not valid and alsot hat it's being removed.

So you're telling me with the current problem with accuracy, you can face 3 - 4 mobs at once? One 1 star the mobs are level 25 in the ~rank 20 camp outside Gridania. The last mob has fled every levelquest since rank 10. Due to the crap input queue subsystem, lag, and a god aweful targeting system(granted it's gotten better, but you still target things obnoxiously far away instead of what's right in front of you) there's no possible way to get a heavy strike to bind the mob after the other has been defeated. So then you're left with a mob fleeing that's faster then you, when it's done, 2 - 3 more appear and that kinda sums that up.

This is completely, absolutely and incredibly false. Also, it has already been confirmed that fatigue will be removed anyways.
Yet again, it's be confirmed to work this way and has been explained on every single post about it. And I can confirm it as I lost all experience on Sunday. You say I don't follow things, come on mate.

well this is useful info of someone new to the game, though some of it is probably because of newness. in all honesty you should be able to solo leves your level pretty easily, maybe you need to level con for cure, it only needs rank 4.

there is 3+3 per region, basically there is an adventures guild in each starting town, you may want to run there so you can do different leves or higher leves. for level 10-20 there is 18 leves available.

The mob spawns used to be a little more interesting, though people found them annoying, some monsters would follow you arround.

Basically one of the big problems in this game is low level, it doesnt lead you or teach you what is out there that well. They should have instituted some story quests that basically walk you through the initial game mechanics, and battle. There are a ton of people who still dont really get battle to this day, and im sure there will be many who dont undertsnad the new system. Almost all knowledge in this game must be attained from outside sources, most of it isnt even hinted at in game.

What you end up with is someone having trouble knowing what do to, how to do it, what thier limitations are, where to go. And with the low, and fairly quiet populations, probably no one to ask what the deal is. SE as veteren game developers put beginners on an exploratory and explantory track in the beginning on in every single rpg they make offline, i dont know why they explain almost nothing at all ingame via story telling in FFXIV.

They should have had some npc who explained and demod battle, someone who explains leves, a quest that takes you to the three main towns before level 20, explains leve excahanges and links better, etc. Its all good to have deeper hidden stuff, but the basics should be explained in a story telling fashion to newbies.

While I don't agree with the end of the sentence, I thank you for the beginning.

if your 20 lancer, you should try to get fleet of foot as soon as possible, doing the lancer quest should unlock it for purchase. that will help you alot in chasing and binding things. However alone, you will probably not be able to kill monsters who try to run, especially early on with few binds/sleeps or giant damage skills.

You should however be able to fight multiple monsters, especially once you get pierce, i think your first ws also does line of sight damage between you and your target so you can make use of that, also you can avoid some WS. Another thing is you should probably pick leves that play to your strengths, some monsters are better for melee, some leves have you fight things one at a time. You probably want to go to multiple towns, and learn what leves you work best with.

You also want to aim for things about 5 levels higher than you generally, although low level, you may need to fight things a little lower, by the time you get high level, you will probably want to fight things 10 levels higher than you or more.

The stats you get from leveling physical job are actually very powerful, so maybe do some crafting leves just to get a tone of base exp. People who think leves dont matter havent been below the leve cap in a long long time. I will tell you that somebody starting a new class right now (who has a high base level), could probably solo things 12 levels higher easily until maybe the level 30 leves, but probably even then it will be easy for them.
