The current SP equation is this:

Solo EXP = [base exp] x [dlvl] ; (SP = 40% of EXP)

dlvl is capped at 10. You don't get more SP from fighting mobs that are 11 ranks or higher than you.

In order to prevent the scenario you are picturing, I'd increase the dlvl cap to 15 or 20 so that players are encouraged even more than now to fight stronger mobs so that the more risk you take, the more reward you get.

I'd also implement SP chains like in FF11, but tweak it so that you only get an SP bonus if consecutive mobs defeated are at least 5 ranks higher than you.

Furthermore, I would adjust respawn rates so that even if you could one shot a bunch of trash mobs 5 at a time for worthwhile SP, you'd run out of mobs to kill and have to wait for the respawn.

Basically, I think there are ways to implement multi-claims without it being as exploitable as astral burns are.
