need tips on how to WP SR correctly, main issue MP

well im geared up for WP SR's but im having problem

my main is bard and alot of tanks i play with dont need ballad

now when i do SR's as my tank i flash flash flash flash but then i run out of mp so i start to build some MP using riot blade but doing this i lose hate, so how exactly do i build MP without asking the bard to do ballad? , ive watched tanks play when im playing bard and man they gain alot of mp fast

do you guys usually start building hate at like 300-400 mp? how much mp do you rebuild?

Depends on your amount of STR/level of weapon. The tanks you were running with might have been better geared meaning each of their Flashes produced more threat. Maybe your DPS aren't using Quelling strikes. If you really wanna go without ballad it'll be rough regardless things that help is fitting in 2 SoC during your FoF buff and tabbing through the ground frequently for auto attacks and riot blade combo/SW. When I don't run with a BRD I usually flash until I'm out then start building up tabbing through each mob seeing which are the closest to running after another and focus on them a bit.

There's also the option (assuming you have a good feel for how quickly each group dies) of using cover on the BLM or who ever genereally pulls threat near the end and letting them take threat, that's 12 seconds of free time to build up MP (2-3 combos which isn't nearly enough but better than nothing).

The first pull is a full MP dump, the second you don't need a whole lot of MP with the BLM sleeping that group anyways and your main focus is on the Tonberry that unlocks the door. You can have your BLM sleep the moment they're all clumped and then again just as the Tonberry dies.

The pull after the first boss is another full MP dump + change. The next group (I don't pull the nyms instead I Provoke the 2 Tonberrys from up top and run the group around the corner, if there's a Stalker I run back into the room with the switch and the group stacks in a corner and clear the group there) it's just 5 mobs so you could unload w/e you can on flash then tab Halone through the group.

The 2 Nyms and the Nym + Skeleton after really don't need a lot of hate I sprint down, flashing the Nyms as I run by them, and run to the far end pulling the Skele + Nym, running back to the door, there's a bit of a wall you can Line of Sight the group while you wait for your Party member to flip the last switch to get them grouped for a few flashes/SoC to prevent them from chasing the healer while they're keeping you up for the 15s it takes for the boss room to lock.

The last pull all the way to the door you should have full MP + TP. ( FoF + Sword Oath during bosses should give you a large enough threat lead to Riot Blade to build your MP near the end/auto attack to regain some TP.)

I run all the way to just before the door shield lobbing one of the 2 Tonberrys in front of it and running around the Corner poppinng HG and spamming flash until the Nyms catch up and stack with the rest of the group. This one should be pretty easy on your MP with the Mage LB doing most of the work (it produces no threat). Try running back and forth through the Nyms to keep them from hitting you with their spells as well.

Another key thing is do your best to NOT flash until the entire group is on top of you, do not flash as you're running through the groups you are the first person they see (at least you should be, make sure no eager beavers run too closely behind you) and no one should be casting until a few seconds after you stop so they should all be on you in the end.

A bit of a messy explanation but that's the gist of what I do.

One of the biggest mistakes I see SR tanks do, is blow all their mp on the pull. Unless your DD is bad, save all your mp for when you gather. With sprint up and a stoneskin before pull, you won't need a heal till then, and one Flash will put you above the first Cure II anyways, so at that point you are just Flash spamming with full MP, and shouldn't have issue on hate, expecially with Riot comboing. The other little trick is to Fight or Flight as you pull the last group (or just before if you face pull them), that way you'll have some extra DD for your next 2 CoS.

    *Edit*

And also the group of ghosts I always make sure to Flash once, just to get some initial hate, as they don't gather with the rest of the group perfectly before a cure often times.

    Flight or Fight = FoF.
SoC= probably meant Circle of Scorn.

Typically what I do is I sprint and face pull everything.
Once everything is gathered, begin spamming Flash.
If you don't have Ballad its really difficult.

Depending on what kind of groups you run with, you should probably go for Curtana +1 (600 Myth) as Weapon Damage will greatly increase your Flash Enmity

Other than that, Fight or Flight before Circle of Scorn and don't waste any MP on running through mobs. Save up until they are all grouped - Spam Flash till empty and then Riot Blade Combo.

If you don't have +1, you're going to have some trouble without Ballad.

Generally, after the mobs are gathered I use Fight or flight, circle of scorn and flash 4-6 times. Then I start cycling riot blade combo with flash. I also switch targets pretty often, even though they have no enmity modifiers you still gain enmity for doing the riot blade combo on whichever mob you hit... So if one mob likes to turn orange when everything else is red, I hit it with riot blade. If I have pretty solid hate I'll just pick whoever has the most hp.
